What are the most important aspects of astrology?
Conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions are the five major astrological aspects. We’ll go through what each of these terms means later, but an aspect is a relationship between the positions of two planets in regard to one another (i.e., Sun conjunct Venus).
“Each relationship of an aspect talks to a particular themesome that feel a little bit more tension, which can provide some opportunity for growth, and then other aspects can have a little bit more ease, which may offer some complementing energy,” astrologer and author of Queer Cosmos Colin Bedell tells mbg.
We can see these aspects in our own charts, but the planets in the sky are always forming aspects and influencing the energy of the day. When considering astrological compatibility between two persons, aspects are equally essential.
“The benefit of understanding aspects, even if only a little, is that you may be able to have compassion for your squares, oppositions, and conjunctions (and the impact they have on your life),” explains astrologer Kayse Budd, M.D., adding, “With knowledge, you can attempt to make peace with the way you are.” You can use awareness to emphasize your strengths while also working through your faults.”
With that in mind, here’s a rundown of the five primary aspects of a chart and what they mean:
What is the finest astrological aspect?
An angle of about () 010 is called a Conjunction (abbreviated as “Con”). A Conjunction is typically defined as an orb of ten. When neither the Sun nor the Moon are present, some astrologers consider an orb of 8 to be the maximum.
The importance of conjunctions in a horoscope chart cannot be overstated. Because the effects of the planets involved are mutually intensified, they are believed to be the most potent characteristics.
A Conjunction can be good or harmful depending on the planets involved. The Sun, Venus, and/or Jupiter, as well as any of the three potential combinations, can form highly favorable Conjunctions. The Moon, Mars, and/or Saturn, as well as any of the three potential combinations, can form highly unfavorable Conjunctions.
On November 910, 1970, the Sun, Venus, and Jupiter were in a 3-way favorable Conjunction for the first time. On March 10 of that year, the Moon, Mars, and Saturn were in a 3-way negative Conjunction.
If one of the two planets participating in a Conjunction is already under strain from one or more hard aspects with one or more other planets, the added presence of a Conjunction will amplify that hard aspect’s tension.
The Conjunction is especially strong if a planet is in close proximity to the Sun (within 17 minutes of arc or only approximately 0.28). Cazimi, an old astrological phrase meaning “in the heart,” is thought to be the planet (of the Sun). “Venus Cazimi,” for example, denotes Venus’s conjunction with the Sun with an orb of less than 0.28.
The specific orb limit for a planet that is reasonably close to the Sun may vary depending on the planet. It’s rumored to be combustible.
The Sun and Moon have a Conjunction every month of the year during the New Moon.
In astrology, what is a difficult aspect?
Aspects describing planets separated by an even number of signs are called “soft,” while those describing planets separated by an odd number of signs are called “hard,” according to the Astrotwins. These categories can help us figure out which parts are more likely to be a challenge than an opportunity.
Is it true that opposition is a positive aspect?
Because it involves a meeting of two opposed forces, the opposition is regarded a difficult component. It isn’t as tense or provocative as the square aspect. It’s not a “negative” feature, but the concept as a whole is outdated.
Is a sextile a good thing?
The Sextile is an aspect generated when planets are separated by two signs or around 60 degrees. It is a positive alignment of planets that creates new growth opportunities. The sextile brings comfort and helpful people to that part of the chart. The other good aspect, the trine, isn’t quite as strong.
Are there any aspects to Ketu?
Ketu – Like Rahu, Ketu represents illusion because they are both illusionary planets, but Ketu is also the one who eliminates the illusion and offers insight. Apart from that, Ketu represents Isolation, Separation, Spirituality, Mystical World, Other Dimension, which refers to things related to the Alien World, as well as Son, Dog, Intuition, Research Ability, Curious Nature, and things that we have already accomplished in a previous life and are not particularly concerned with achieving in this life.
Aspects of Ketu
Ketu, like Rahu and Jupiter, has three aspects in astrology. Ketu has aspects to the 5th, 7th, and 9th houses depending on where it is in the zodiac. So, if Ketu is in the fourth house, it will aspect the eighth house (5th house aspect), the tenth house (7th house aspect), and the twelveth house (12th house aspect) (9th house aspect). As a result, Ketu has aspects in three separate houses from its current location. Because planets generally only aspect the 7th house from their position, we can argue that Ketu has two unusual aspects, namely 5th and 9th house aspects.
Reasons for Ketu’s Unique Aspects
Why did Rahu/Ketu get these two additional distinctive features, as we covered in depth in the last article? As a result, the following section is taken from the previous article.
“Now, if we pay attention, we’ll notice that Jupiter’s position also has 5th and 9th house aspects. As a result, there appears to be a commonality in their characteristics. As a result, there is an interpretation that says Rahu-Ketu have comparable aspects to Jupiter since they are demonic planets and Jupiter is a Brahmin who can subdue Rahu-Ketu with Mantras. According to this view, Rahu and Ketu give Jupiter control in exchange for Jupiter’s aspects.
Jupiter (Brihaspati) is not the Solar System’s only Brahmin Planet. Venus belongs to the Brahmin caste. So, I’m sure Venus (Shukracharya) is aware of some Mantras for Rahu-Ketu management. Shukracharya was also a Demon Teacher. So it must be easier for Rahu and Ketu to approach Venus, or Venus to approach Rahu-Ketu and bargain, than it must be for Teacher of Gods to approach Rahu-Ketu and bargain (Jupiter).
What is the need for Jupiter to accept Rahu-offer Ketu’s of a bargain and give away its aspects if he can truly manage Rahu-Ketu with his knowledge and mantra? What sort of control, knowledge, and mantra does it take for a person who has been manipulated to still be able to set his conditions in place?
Essentially, we are all businesspeople who only speak the language of trade. As a result, this philosophy arose. But, as far as I can tell, the rationale for Rahu’s 5th and 9th house aspects is as follows:
In the most basic of interpretations, Rahu is just Illusion. Regardless of where Rahu is in a person’s horoscope, he will continue to be deceived by things and people associated with that house. For example, in the 10th house, there is an illusion about Father, and in the 7th house, there is an illusion about marriage. In general, there is a lack of clarity on objects or people associated with the house where Rahu resides.
What exactly are the 5th and 9th houses? The fifth house represents education, and the ninth house represents further education, knowledge, and wisdom. Furthermore, if we look closely, these two houses are Bhavat Bhavam for each other. The 5th house’s Bhavat Bhavam is the 9th house (being the 5th house from the 5th house), while the 9th house’s Bhavat Bhavam is the 5th house (being 9th house from 9th house). As a result, both houses represent Education, Wisdom, and Knowledge. What, then, can be done to dispel a person’s delusion? It is a combination of knowledge, education, and wisdom.
As a result, Rahu and Ketu are now in the 5th and 9th houses, respectively. So, Rahu will create illusion in the house in which it resides, but its 5th and 9th house aspects indicate where this illusion will be broken and he will gain wisdom? In our case, Rahu in the 10th house creates an illusion around Career and Father, but Rahu also influences the 2nd house of Wealth and Family, as well as the 6th house of Daily Work Life and Obstacles. As a result, his illusions about wealth and family will be shattered, and he will gain wisdom about his father. Obstacles in his daily work or occupations will also provide him with insight into his proper career path.
The only difference with Ketu is that, while it is also an illusion, its nature is to separate/isolate people from the homes in which they reside. Another characteristic of Ketu is that it splits the house into two pieces where it sits. For example, if it is in the 4th house, a person can have two mothers (one who gives birth and the other who looks after them), or if it is in the 10th house, a person can have two completely different jobs. For example, in early life, a person may be working and in his 40s, he may be running his own business.
The distinction between Ketu’s and Rahu’s aspects is that Ketu’s aspects reveal its essence of Curiosity, Research, and Investigation. So, wherever Ketu is, people will be more motivated to explore, investigate, and dig deep into the intricacies and truth in topics pertaining to those homes that Ketu is a part of. In terms of the 5th and 9th houses, the level of research will be the same.
Ketu’s Dignity
Although Rahu and Ketu are similar in essence, Rahu is a highly outward planet, whilst Ketu is a very inside planet. Rahu will cause things to erupt, while Ketu will cause them to implode. Rahu in Gemini, for example, can make a person extrovert, whereas Ketu in Gemini causes a person to talk to himself a lot and work on internal communication. Rahu in Cancer will be outgoing when it comes to emotions, whilst Ketu in Cancer will be introspective when it comes to emotional concerns. So, here is Ketu’s dignity.
- Scorpio’s Ketu Exalted Ketu is regarded as one’s own sign. Ketu, who is interested in research, is most matched to the sign of Scorpio, which is the sign of secrecy.
- In Pisces, Ketu
- Ketu, be at ease. Spiritual Ketu is in the sign of Spirituality.
- Ketu in Gemini and Virgo works in tandem with Rahu, and Ketu enjoys Mercury’s company.
- Cancer and Ketu in Leo
- In enemy markings. Authorities and Emotional Issues
- Taurus has Ketu.
- Debilitated Ketu, since Ketu seeks spirituality, whereas Taurus is all about materialism.
- In Aries, Ketu
- Ketu is a restless planet, especially when it is in Ashwini Nakshatra.
- Sagittarius’ Ketu
- Ketu is on a quest for more knowledge.
- Capricorn’s Ketu
- Separated from the powers that be. Doesn’t want to be seen or operate under the authority of anyone.
- Libra is ruled by Ketu.
- In Relationships, I’m feeling lonely. To know who Ketu has relations with, it is dependent on the house where he is born.

We must also consider the energy of the houses that Ketu regulates in a given chart through the sign Scorpio.
Last but not least, Ketu reaches maturity at the age of 48, while it begins maturing at the age of 42. As a result, if someone is older than 42, the outcome may be more favorable because the energy has matured.
Ketu is conjunct a planet.
Because Ketu also reveals our former lives’ karmic troubles, when Ketu is conjunct another planet, it reveals past lives’ karmic issues with those associated with that planet. Ketu-Sun will reveal issues with Father, Ketu-Moon will show issues with Mother, and Ketu-Mercury will show issues with Siblings, just as Ketu-Sun will show issues with Father, Ketu-Moon will show issues with Mother, and Ketu-Mercury will indicate issues with Siblings.
- The 5th and 9th houses are the houses of the zodiac. Because both of these characteristics are of similar kind, their interpretation will be similar as well, and I believe it will be the most straightforward. As previously said, wherever Ketu is located in the horoscope, it isolates or divides a person from the objects or persons associated with that house. However, regardless of the aspect, the person gets fascinated and research-oriented about the objects and people associated with the residence. For example, Ketu in the 4th house can remove a person from their mother, home, and peace of mind, but Ketu’s aspects will go into the 8th house (5th aspect) of Occult & Mysticism and the 12th house (9th aspect) of Spirituality & Foreign Lands, respectively. As a result, this individual will spend a lot of time studying and researching these topics, and will find peace of mind in Occult Matters and Spirituality. It also depicts the potential of relocating to another country. Ketu in the first house, once again, would make a person feel separated from himself and his environment. He’ll always feel as if he’s on the wrong planet. However, Ketu’s 5th and 9th house characteristics will cause him to conduct extensive research into Higher Education, Religions, Cultures, and Philosophies, among other topics. That’s where they’ll discover their link. Last but not least, Ketu in the 10th house can make a person question where he is working, but aspects in the 2nd house of Family/Wealth and the 6th house of Daily Work will prompt him to investigate these issues and determine whether he can change his career to one that is more suitable for Ketu’s nature.
- House of the Seventh
- Ketu has a 7th house aspect due to its placement, but it is also where Rahu is located. So, while Ketu’s 7th house aspect may isolate/separate us from the things/people of the house where that aspect is going, Rahu will maintain our attachment to that house and we will remain drawn to it. For example, Ketu in the third house will have a 7th aspect on the 9th house of religions and higher learning. Thus, while a person may not be particularly interested in higher education or studies, Rahu will place him in such an environment that he will be drawn to these pursuits.
So that’s the gist of how Ketu’s aspects will play out in your horoscope. Ketu’s theme words will be isolation, separation, occult, mysticism, spirituality, and research.
Which of the residences does the Sun face?
The Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus all have an affect on the results of the 7th house because of their positions. Aspects of these planets can be seen through the use of arrows. 2.
In astrology, what is Drishti?
Drishti means “to see” and refers to the planets’ capacity to have a voice in the house in which they are and can see. As a result, it is clear that planets have little effect on their surroundings.
It not only owns but also places residences where they may see (Have Drishti on). Planet Sun, for example, will have an affect on the house where it is located, the 7th house from where it is located (Drishti), and Leo because it owns the house. Because the concept is so vast, let’s take a look at it from a planetary perspective. Drishti is a concept based on planetary location and distance. So, here’s a list of the planets that are the furthest away from the Sun:
