How Fast Does Venus Move Astrology

Let’s talk about love and astrology. Venus is the planet of love and pleasure (please book me a one-way ticket), and its movements have an impact on how we express affection, our financial attitudes, what we find attractive, and our personal allure.

Venus is sometimes referred to as the Earth’s “sister planet” because of its size, mass, and density, as well as the fact that it orbits closer to the Earth than any other planet. Because of this close proximity, your Venus sign will be only one or two signs away from your Sun sign in your birth chart.

Knowing your natal Venus sign (the sign Venus was in at the time you were born; if you don’t know yours, use a free birth chart calculator to find out) allows you to keep track of when Venus transits that sign, as well as your own Sun sign. Venus’s transit through your Sun sign is like a little Venusian glow, dusting love dust over your magnetic abilities. It amplifies your attractions by a factor of ten.

Your Venus Return occurs when Venus transits your natal Venus sign (like your Saturn Return but waaaay nicer, less dramatic, and happens way more frequently). Your Venus Return happens once a year, and it’s a period of pleasure and passion for you. Some people refer to it as a “beauty birthday,” when everything in life seems to shine a little brighter and things appear to be a little easier. On and around your Venus Return, plan romantic vacations, treats, pampering time, and dates.

Venus is one of the inner planets (together with Earth and Mercury, but not Neptune or Pluto) and moves quite swiftly due to its proximity to the Sun. It rotates through the zodiac signs every 20 days or so, and it has a greater impact on our romantic lives than any other astrological transit.

You may arrange key love milestones, decisions, and changes to line with the proper cosmic energy and get a helpful hand from planets by knowing which zodiac sign Venus is in. After all, why not? After all, in love, everything is fair. You don’t have to tell your partner that you were directed by the stars.

Here’s what Venus brings to your love life when it travels through each zodiac sign, as well as when the next window of opportunity is this year and next! You’ll be able to thank me later.

How long does Venus stay in a sign after it has progressed?

Because the inner planets only travel a few degrees per day, it’s more useful and significant to observe if they’ve recently (in the previous few years) or will soon (in the next year or two) change signs or houses.

Progressed MercuryEvolved Communication Style

Mercury moves one degree each day, thus if you use progressions, Mercury will move one degree per year of your life, or at the same rate as your advanced sun.

Mercury Progressed are a little more difficult to follow because Mercury retrogrades three times a year, interfering with progressed movement.

This means that the energy of only a few developed Mercury signs and houses will be felt by the majority of us.

We can check our advanced chart to see if Mercury is close to a house or sign cusp line (within 2-3 degrees) and see what it indicates in terms of a change in communication style.

Your Progressed Mercury doesn’t take the place of your natural communication style; rather, it adds another dimension to the way you communicate and digest information.

Progressed VenusEvolved Receptivity & Values

Venus moves a little more than a degree every day, thus if you use progressions, Venus will move a little more than a degree for each year of your life.

This means that for many of us, it will take roughly 25 years for signs or houses to change, and then another 25 years for them to change again.

This means that the energy of 3-4 progressed Venus signs and houses will only be felt by the majority of us.

We can check our advanced chart to see whether Venus is close to a house or sign cusp line (2-3 degrees) and see what that says for receptivity, magnetism, and basic values.

Your Progressed Venus doesn’t take the place of your inherent receptivity, magnetism, or value; rather, it adds a layer, depth, and vitality to them.

Progressed MarsEvolved Action Taking & Bravery Style

Mars moves 1/2 degree every day, thus if you use progressions, Mars will move 1/2 degree every year of your life.

This means that for many of us, signs and houses will not change for another 60 years.

This means that the energy of only 2-3 progressed Mars signs and houses will be felt by the majority of us.

How long does Venus take to pass through a house?

Venus Transit lasts roughly 23 days, which means it stays in one zodiac for 23 days before moving to another house. Venus Transit has a variety of effects on a person’s physical, social, and marital lives.

What is the pentagram or petals of Venus?

The velocity of Venus has a distinct rhythm when depicted geocentrically from an Earth-centered perspective. It returns to the same spot in our sky on around the same date after eight years. The eight-year cycle of Venus is named from the fact that 13 Venusian orbits (8 x 224.8 days) are almost identical to eight Earth years. Ancient peoples like the Maya were aware of the cycle and were fascinated by it. Many people today refer to it as the Venus pentagram or petals.

Because each phenomenoneach relative position of Earth, Venus, and the sunoccurs five times over the eight years, the term pentagramor five-sided figureis used. They then repeat five times, essentially identically, over the next eight years.

The tight inward loops on the graphic above and in the video below represent Venus’ inferior conjunctions, when the planet passes between us and the sun. When Venus goes around the far side of the sun from us, the large swings are centered on superior conjunctions. As Anthony Barreiro pointed out, the typical trend is:

Visualizing the petals of Venus

The orbit of Venus from an Earth-centered perspective is depicted in the animation below. Venus is the smaller pale yellow dot, and the sun is the larger yellow ball:

It was befuddlingly congested when I tried to plot a geocentric picture spanning eight years (2016-2023) to display the entire rose. It contained five overlapping tracks, eight-times-twelve small Venus globes at monthly intervals, and other details that were already excessive without the ecliptic-plane grid.

The image at the top of this page is a simplified version: it’s still calculated in three dimensions, but by shifting the viewpoint to the north ecliptic pole, it turns into a flat plot of Venus’ route.

The Earth is in the center; the vernal equinox is on the right; and the yellow spots represent the sun at the start of each month.

You’ll still have difficulties figuring out which portion of the track corresponds to which year (on the image above, I used white, cyan, magenta, and yellow for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and again for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023) but it’s not a big deal.

The five inferior conjunctions can be seen in their five directions.

The Pentagram of Venus

When you draw across the circle from one loop to the next, you’ll notice that they’re not directly adjacent, but rather 2/5 of the way around, like the five points of a pentagram.

Past and future inferior conjunctions of Venus

The five lower conjunctions of Venus are distinguished by the orientations in which they occur in Venus’ real (heliocentric) orbit, which is inclined and slightly elliptical.

Venus passes 8 degrees north of the sun on March 25, 2017, in Pisces; distance from us 0.28 AU (astronomical units, called sun-Earth distances); diameter of Venus’ (mainly black) disk 60 AU (arcseconds).

Bottom line: Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code prominently emphasized the highly perceptible rhythm in Venus’s motion from a geocentric perspective. Guy Ottewell offers a chart and explanations for the Venus pentagram or petals.

What Are the Big Three Indicators?

Your Moon, Rising, and Sun Signs: What They Mean to You Your moon, rising, and sun sign placements are the main three or three cornerstones of your personality. You can find out yours by using a birth chart calculator or consulting an astrologer.

What happens if Venus is a powerful planet?

If Venus is in a favorable position in your birth chart, it bestows a charming personality on you. In terms of riches and prosperity, it will be quite useful to you. You may be intelligent and have a happy marriage. Let’s take a look at how Venus affects good, middling, and negative outcomes:

Strong Venus: If Venus is strong and combined with other planets in your horoscope, you can enjoy the company of opposite sex. Your married life will be enjoyable and full of luxuries. It’s possible that you’ll marry young. You would be able to keep everyone in good spirits.

Afflicted Venus: Afflicted Venus may delay your marriage and cause complications in your married life. Giving birth to a child may provide challenges. It has the potential to break the harmonical relationships. Because it is a karak planet for marriage, this area will be heavily influenced.

What is the speed of advanced planets?

Other strategies of development have also been employed. The following are some of them:

  • One lunar month after birth equals one year of life, which is a minor progression.
  • One day after birth equals one lunar month of life in the tertiary phase.
  • One year of life equals one day before birth, and vice versa (and so on backwards in time).
  • Planets are moved the same distance as the secondary progressed ascendant in ascendant arc progression.
  • Planets are moved an arbitrary amount of degrees per year, for as 3 degrees for each year, 5 degrees for each year, and so on.

How quickly does the Ascendant progress?

It’s worth noting that, in addition to the three strategies used in the examples above, there are others that result in far larger disparities.

The advanced Ascendant ranges from 18 to 21 degrees Taurus in this chart. The change of sign and its aspects to planets might vary not only by months, but often by years, because this element evolves so slowly from year to year. In other words, different astrologers could state, for example, that the advanced Ascendant enters Gemini in November 2025 (Solar Arc MC), August 2026 (Naibod), or February 2028 (R.A.M.S. MC) depending on the method utilized, and each of them would be technically true!

Astrologers typically test out various techniques to find the one that works best for them. It’s best to keep an open mind when learning astrology; with time, you may decide on a strategy or choose to focus less on the houses and more on the advanced planets’ aspects to the planets and points in the progressed and natal charts.
