First step: Sun sign and degree

Second step: Use Pluto’s position to determine the year of birth
This is a sort of short cheat! Pluto moves so slowly that it does not pass through all 12 signs of the zodiac in a human lifetime. The Sun, on the other hand, takes around a year to transit through all twelve zodiac signs. We may use Pluto’s degree and sign position to establish the year of birth because it travels just a few degrees of a sign each year.
