The Mrityu-bhava or House of Death, according to Parasara, is the 8th house counted from the house held by Saturn at the moment of birth. Add up the number of Rekhas (malefic points) contributed by Saturn in the houses from the lagna to the house occupied by Saturn, and this figure will indicate the age at which the native will face adversity; add up the rekhas contributed by Saturn from the house occupied by Saturn to the lagna, and this figure will indicate the age at which the native will face the most severe physical adversity, and even death if the maraka-dasha is active. Alternatively, multiply the number of rekhas contributed by Saturn in the houses from the house occupied by it to the Mrityu-bhava, multiply this figure by the Yoga-pinda, and divide by 27; the remainder will indicate the nakshatra transiting which or the trine nakshatra therefrom Saturn will cause death, or add the number of rekhas contributed by Saturn in the houses from the house occupied by it to the Mrityu-bhava
“Death will take place in regions identical to the rasi occupied by the lord of the navamsa, in which birth falls,” writes Varahamihira in his Brihat Jataka. Conjunctions and planetary aspects must be used to describe additional features or specialties. The unrisen number of navamsas in the birth must be used to determine the time of death. If it is aspected by the birth lord, the time must be doubled; if it is aspected by benefics, the time must be trebled.
In Chapter XXXII St.116-118, Narayanan Nambutiri, the author of Prasna Marga, who follows Varahamihira, states that first total the bindus (before reduction) in Saturn’s Ashtakavarga from the lagna to the sign occupied by Saturn; and from the sign occupied by Saturn to the lagna, these two numbers will indicate the age when the native will be attacked by disease or misfortune; and the total of If the age represented by these three digits corresponds with the end or beginning of a malefic dasha, death may occur. When Saturn transits the nakshatra represented by the remainder or trinal nakshatra, death may occur. Multiply the Sodya Pinda of Saturn by the bindus in the 8th house from Saturn in his own Ashtakavarga, divide the product by 27; when Saturn transits the nakshatra represented by the remainder or trinal nakshatra, death may occur. Multiply the bindus in the sign occupied by Jupiter or the Sun in Saturn’s Ashtakavarga by Saturn’s Sodya Pinda and divide by 12, the result is the sign Jupiter or the Sun was transiting at the moment of death.

The 4th house ruler’s period can result in the death of a person’s parent. It is the seventh house, counting from the tenth. The father’s house is on the tenth floor. The biological father is more visible in the tenth house).

What if you don’t have anything in the seventh house?
Is it possible that you’re missing a planet? Is this a sign that you’re lacking a key component of your personality? Though empty houses in astrology can be perplexing, there is no such thing as a planet that has gone missing.
“It’s hard not to have a planet in your chart,” says Ambi Kavanagh, founder of Soulstrology and astrologer. “A planet is in one portion of the zodiac at any given moment. For example, during the week of March 19, Saturn was at zero degrees Aquarius and at the extreme end of Capricorn. So he was either 29 degrees Capricorn or 0 degrees Aquarius, but not’missing.'”
There are 12 residences in total, each representing a distinct aspect of life. The seventh house, for example, represents your committed partnerships, and the tone of your partnerships is determined by the placement of a planet in the seventh house. Mercury, for example, is in my seventh house and is a planet associated with communication and intelligence. That implies I’m drawn to people who are intelligent, smooth-talking, and expressive, and I need to mate with someone who is intellectually equal to me.
“If a planet is in a house, the features and themes of that planet are incorporated into the life regions of that house.” You just don’t have the energy of a specific planet infused if you don’t.” Astrologer Ambi Kavanagh
Let’s pretend your seventh house is a blank slate. Don’t be concerned; instead, take comfort in the fact that having an empty house is common, and it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doomed in a certain area of life. “It’s something people are afraid of, but they shouldn’t be,” adds Kavanagh. If a planet is in a house, the features and themes of that planet are absorbed into the life regions of that house. If you don’t, it simply implies that the energy of a given planet hasn’t been incorporated into a particular living region. But that doesn’t rule out the possibility of ‘action’ in regard to the life themes ruled by that house.”
Which planet is in charge of luck?
There’s more to astrology than our sun, moon, and rising signs. Every point and planet in the zodiac, no matter how big or tiny, reflects different aspects of who we are and how we operate. But for the time being, let’s concentrate on the enormous, as in the largest-planet-in-the-solar-system big. Jupiter, the planet of good fortune and expansion in astrology, holds the honor. Knowing what your Jupiter sign represents and what the meaning of Jupiter in astrology means might help you better understand your relationship to luck, learning, and living ethically.
In astrology, the personal planets (which include the sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars) reveal a lot about our personalities and how we react to situations. However, Jupiter in astrology informs us more about how we react to wider themes inside ourselves and society as a whole because it is one of the transpersonal social planets (which are further away from the sun than the personal planets and have a more collective impact). Jupiter rules subjects like philosophy, spiritual beliefs, morals, and higher education, thus this planet urges us to think big and explore the far reaches of the human soul. Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces and the ruling planet of Sagittarius in the zodiac, thus its energy is very essential to anyone born with a lot of Sag or Pisces energy in their astrological birth chart.
Jupiter is sometimes known as the planet of good luck, despite the fact that its themes can be somewhat philosophical. Continue reading to learn more about Jupiter’s astrology.
