The composite chart is the relationship’s own chart. It’s derived by calculating the mathematical midpoints between each person’s planets and points, and it’s a completely different chart altogetherthe relationship chart. The composite chart depicts basic relationship dynamics.

Synastry & Relationship Astrology
Themes from a chart comparison (synastry) frequently repeat themselves in a composite chart reading. Strong motifs, on the other hand, don’t always repeat themselves.
The fact that the composite chart is the chart of a coupleit shows the relationship as a unit is one of the primary differences between comparing charts and reading composite charts. When comparing charts, on the other hand, the differing energies of two charts are compared point by point.
Another perspective is to consider the composite chart as the “the relationship’s final outcome
Consider a scenario in which a couple’s hard aspects of Neptune are present in their chart comparison, but Neptune is not as powerful in the composite chart. Disillusionments and/or deceptions will be a feature of the relationship, but they will not be a determining element in the partnership’s sustainability.
On the other hand, if hard features of Neptune appear prominently in the composite chart but not in the chart comparison, challenging Neptunian themes may appear out of nowhere and play a key factor in the relationship’s viability or outcome.
In some circumstances, mutual hard aspects between each person’s Venus and Mars might be found in chart comparison. However, there is a Venus-Mars harmonic trine in the composite chart. Sexual tension, as depicted by the Venus-Mars hard interchart aspects, is almost probably present in a situation like this. Overall, however, the pair comes up with inventive ways to deal with the conflict. The challenges posed by the interchart features are unlikely to reign supreme in the relationship. On a romantic and sexual level, both persons will find the partnership mainly satisfactory. The tensions caused by the hard Venus-Mars aspects would not be a role in the couple’s breakup if they were to split up. In fact, the composite Venus-Mars trine may be one of the ties that binds them.
As a result, it’s critical to think about the issues in a composite chart as elements that directly affect the relationship’s viability and quality of life. Interactions that occur and are relevant are represented by synastry features. The composite chart, on the other hand, aids in identifying the most serious issues “In a relationship, there are fatalistic potentials and problems.
What is the formula for calculating composite charts?
The composite chart is created by taking the average of both partners’ natal charts. The composite Sun is exactly half-way between both natal Suns, and the composite Moon is exactly half-way between both natal Moons, and so on.
What is the best way to use a composite chart?
According to Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a Cancer Sun Sign and author of The Little Prince, a well-loved book about the nature of love and relationship connections, man is a knot into which relationships are interwoven (among other things). It’s true that the majority of us, if not all of us, require social interaction. A strong connection to a cause or ideal can arise from a family member, a friend or lover, a religious belief, or a strong connection to a cause or ideal.
It’s only natural that when you connect with someone, you’ll create a certain amount of energy between the two of you. That is true regardless of who you are interacting with or whether you are in a favorable or challenging relationship. You have a lot of connections in your life, and each one has a different energy and feel to it.
If you’ve ever been romantically involved with someone, you’ll know that there were some attractions that swept you off your feet and others that were more peaceful. Some couples have a lot of chemistry and have a shine and oomph when they are together. It’s electrifying, and you can practically smell it. When certain couples are together, they emanate a sense of togetherness as well as a calm, serene, and loving domesticity. Some couples grow to mix together after many years of being in a lengthy relationship and become nearly one thing.
That’s because their interaction generates a composite energy, and their relationship has taken on a life of its own. This is a force that may be astrologically charted in the same way that a person’s life or an event (such as a wedding or a business opening) can be.
This is known as a composite chart, and it relates to all of your relationships, whether they are one-night stands, unrequited loves, or long-term partnerships. It applies to you and your mother and father, as well as to you and your favorite aunt and mentor. Coworkers, supervisors, and neighbors, as well as friends and acquaintances, all produce energy with you.
So, what exactly is a blended or composite chart, and how can you get your hands on one? To begin, you need be aware that a composite chart is a representation of a two-person connection. Now comes the difficult part.
The midpoints of the matching planets of the two people are combined to create a composite chart. That may appear complicated, but it isn’t. Each sign of the zodiac, for example, is made up of 30 degrees, which continue with each subsequent sign of the zodiac. So, for the purposes of a composite chart, you sum together the whole numbers of the indicators.
Taurus is 30-59, Gemini is 60-89, Cancer is 90-119, Leo is 120-149, Virgo is 150-179, Libra is 180-209, Scorpio is 210-239, Sagittarius is 240-269, Capricorn is 270-299, Aquarius is 300-329, and Pisces is 330-359.
If your Sun is at 16 degrees Aries, for example, your Sun number is 16 degrees. If your lover, friend, coworker, next-door neighbor, or high school art teacher’s Sun is at 12 degrees Sagittarius, that equates to 252 degrees mathematically. Add the two numbers together, 16 + 252 = 268; divide by two to get 134. That means your Sun and the Sun of the person with whom you are in a relationship are at 14 degrees of Leo. That is the Sun of the composite relationship chart you’ve shared, and it’s also the Sun’s position in your composite analysis.
You may do the same with the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron, and the North Node, as well as the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron, and the North Node. You can do it for both your Ascendants (assuming you know when each of you was born) and the Midheaven, the Tenth House. You’ll have a highly detailed chart of your relationship with the person in question once you’ve calculated all of the above.
You can get the degrees of the planets from an astrological ephemeris, which lists the daily movements of the planets, either online via the Internet, through a search engine site by typing in “ephemeris astrological listings,” or by requesting an ephemeris from your local library or purchasing one from a bookstore.
Please keep in mind that a composite chart is not a substitute for an individual astrological chart analysis for each of you, nor is it a synastry connection analysis, which aligns the planets you each have natally. According to your synastry chart, if your Sun is in Aries at 16 degrees and your spouse’s Sun is in Sagittarius at 12 degrees, you have a Sun trine Sun aspect, which indicates that you and your partner are in basic harmony and compatibility. However, a synastry chart cannot perform the same functions as a composite chart, and vice versa.
A composite chart describes the nature of the relationship between your two charts as a blended entity, and it can reveal a lot about the very basic meaning of your relationship with the individual with whom you’re merging your chart.
A composite chart can help you grasp a number of key aspects regarding how you interact with the individual with whom you are in a relationship. What are some of the positive qualities of your current relationship with this person? What difficulties do you need to be aware of and address? Are there any flaws or traps in your combined charts that you should be aware of so that you may work on making your relationship stronger and more fulfilling?
There is a wealth of information available to you about your relationship with those closest to you. You’ll be able to obtain a new perspective on your interactions with the individuals you work with, and you’ll be able to look back on earlier relationships that didn’t work out in order to gain new insight into why that happened.
A composite chart will allow you to learn not only how you and your companion interact with one another, but also how others perceive your relationship. You’ll be able to assess the impact you’re having on others as well. It’s possible that neither you nor your spouse sees the relationship clearly if your blended Neptune is in the first house of your composite chart. If your composite Neptune is in the tenth house of how others perceive you, they may not see your relationship with your loved one in the same light as you do.
It’s also true that, no matter how much you wish it were, not every relationship you have is positive. You might have an impossible supervisor or employer, or you might live next door to an obnoxious neighbor, or you might have a troublesome sibling in some form.
You might be able to come up with solutions to deal with these unpleasant and tough people in your life by tracking the energy between you and them. At the absolute least, you’ll have a better grasp of why you can’t communicate with them in a positive, life-affirming way. There could be ego issues at play, or there could be a lot of discordant Mars energy between you that leads to difficulties like power and control.
If your composite Sun with your sister has a lot of mixed Saturn, it could be one of the reasons you’re so frustrated with her and her conduct. You and she may have a lot of authority issues, and just understanding that may affect how you interact with her. At the very least, it may provide some food for thought and analysis.
A whole new universe of astrological information awaits you and your close friends, and the greatest part is that if you can get your friends’ birth dates, you can complete the analysis yourself.
Matching the planets will take some time, but it will be a pleasant and educational process that will provide you a lot of insight into the true nature of your personal and professional connections.
It can also reveal how you and your spouse interact with one another, why you stay together, and, if you’re looking at a composite chart for a failed relationship, what caused you to split up. The more you understand about yourself and the people you interact with, the easier it will be to make excellent decisions and make positive and educated decisions for yourself.
What does it mean to have composite energies?
Do you ever wonder if you and your partner shared a previous life? Do you want to discover what your relationship’s spiritual purpose is? Or perhaps you’re interested about the inherent difficulties in your relationship?
One of the most useful instruments for deciphering relationship karma is astrology. There are various ways to explore partnerships in astrology, but I like the composite chart for appreciating the relationship’s karmic purpose and identifying core problems.
This is a diagram that depicts the relationship. A composite is made up of two different birth charts as well as the literal energy field created by two different people. Many of my clients want to know what their partnerships’ evolutionary or karmic purpose is: what they are generating or hoping to achieve on a higher level from the relationship. This is when the composite chart comes in handy.
A composite chart is less personal than a chart based on your birth date. Aspects of your birth chart, or natal chart, may be hard, but you may try to change them. You will have the feeling that you can work with and on your birth chart. A composite chart, on the other hand, is a relationship chart. The relationship does not act independently to change; it is essentially a static entity. You can react to it and deal with the energy it contains, but neither of you will be able to work with the chart in a personal, active way. It is, very literally, what it is.
The information contained in composite charts is neither excellent nor negative. It’s crucial for my clients to understand that their composite chart will not inform them whether or not they should be in a relationship. It will just state what is.
You read a composite chart like a birth chart because it depicts a specific entitythe relationship. Planets, signs, and aspects interact with each other through the houses, revealing the characteristics of this co-created partnership.
Let’s have a look at an example chart. Max and Ellen’s Suns are both in Scorpio. Through the lens of Scorpio, we may read the substance of the partnership. Fundamentally, the connection is a complicated one that is physically charged, emotionally intense, and requires complete engagement from both Max and Ellen in all of these ways. They’ll have to examine their inner psychological concerns, deal with childhood hurts (Sun in 4th House), and communicate everything they learn with one another. The connection will also test them to see whether they can become emotionally self-sufficient or if they will slip into a dark Scorpio codependency.
Their composite Saturn is also in Aquarius, in the 7th House. Depending on how people contribute, the relationship might go either way. They can either reach amazing levels of autonomy and freedom inside the relationship (Aquarius aided by Saturn), or they may find the connection restricting and fearful. They will be able to accomplish the highest that their Saturn can deliver if they complete the emotional work symbolized by their Sun. It’s a delicate balancing act, and the relationship will take time to develop. However, if they put in the effort, the relationship will most likely last.
The composite Venus of Max and Ellen is in Libra in the 3rd House. Regardless of how they individually express Venus, conscious communication will be crucial for them. Their love will blossom if they strive for harmony and balance in their daily lives and communicate frequently and effectively. When the Scorpio Sun gets a little too hot, this Libra Venus, together with the Aquarius Saturn, creates a more objective place to stand.
But keep in mind that the composite planets have nothing to do with how Max and Ellen feel about each other, how they give and receive love, how they deal with fear, or any other trait. Max’s Sun is in Leo, while Ellen’s is in Capricorn. They’ll respond differently to their composite Sun in Scorpio, but it doesn’t change the fact that the connection will be fiery and Scorpionic for both of them.
Max and Ellen’s horoscope has the ability to change their relationship emotionally. The connection serves as a space for them to “grow up and repair childhood wounds” for both of them. In reality, they’re likely to have had a prior existence in which they were in a parent/child connection, and it’s also probable that they’ve had restrictions in other love relationships in previous lifetimes. If they are prepared to work through the difficulties, the current partnership can provide great stability and longevity.
Understanding the aim of their marriage made the required effort worthwhile for this pair. They both wanted to grow, and they cared enough about one other to put in the effort. Though there is obviously more to their connection than I’ve explained, even knowing this much aids them in making decisions that are beneficial to their relationship.

What planet is in charge of love marriages?
Venus is the planet that governs love, marriage, and romance. This is the planet that determines if your love life is a success or a failure.
In astrology, what does a Yod mean?
In astrology, a Yod is a unique configuration of at least three planets. It has the appearance of a tall, thin triangular.
An equilateral triangle formed by two planets in sextile (60 degrees) to one other, with both of them producing an uncomfortable 150-degree quincunx (or inconjunct) angle to a third planet is known as a Yod aspect pattern.
The sextile planets are two zodiac signs apart and form an easy angle, indicating that they naturally communicate and collaborate.
Both of these planets, however, are five signs away (quincunx) from the planet at the Yod’s apex. The quincunx planet is in a zodiac sign that creates an uneasy energy of friction and adjustment, disrupting the sextile planets’ ease of movement.
You can notice in Prince’s birth chart (above) that he has not one, but TWO Yods. His 0 degree Mars in Aries is one, while his 0 degree North Node in Scorpio is the other.
Green dotted (inconjunct) lines connected by a short blue (sextile) base indicate Yod triangles.
According to astrologer Kevin Burk, the apex planet, which forms the two quincunx aspects, must also be the fastest-moving of the three planets in order for the configuration to be a successful one “Yod is correct. The speed of a planet is dictated by its distance from the Sun (the moon/Mercury is the quickest, while Pluto is the slowest). According to Burk’s theory, Pluto will never be the apex planet, rather the moon (the fastest-moving planet) will “It is impossible for a planet to be one of the base planets. This hypothesis does not hold water with all astrologers, but it is worth exploring.
What is astrology’s Davison chart?
The Davison chart determines the midway in time and space between the two birth dates and times, as well as the midpoint in space between the two birthplaces’ latitudes and longitudes. The end result is a whole birth chart that describes the union of two people.
What does it signify on a composite chart to have a Grand Cross?
“A Grand Cross, also known as a Grand Square,” explains astrologer, Reiki master, and sound healer Ambi Kavanagh, “occurs when four planets are all separated from one another by a square aspect 90 degrees apart, caused by two opposition aspects 180 degrees apart, creating a cross configuration in the chart.” “Each planet will fall into one of the four elements of air, water, fire, and Earth, and will belong to the same family of zodiac types: cardinal, changeable, or fixed.”
To refresh your memory, cardinal signs, changeable signs, and fixed signs are three types of quadruplicities that describe how a person channels their energy. The elements are mainly concerned with general mood. When four planets from the same quadruplicity form a Grand Cross in your horoscope, you have a lot of one specific energy.
