What Is Moonchild In Astrology

It’s Yasmin on the other end of the line. On my Hay House Radio show Weekly Astrology with Yasmin this month (May 2018), I had the pleasure of interviewing the very talented Marc Allen.

Since I saw this interview in which he discusses how to create your own reality in such a sincere way, I’ve been a fan of Marc’s. I really advise you to watch it!

Marc’s star sign, Cancer, turns out to be the crab’s sign. But, for obvious reasons, he likes to be referred to as a Moonchild, as the glorious Moon rules the sign of Cancer.

This reminded me of a remark made by my former mentor, the late, brilliant astrologer Jonathan Cainer, who once remarked on the irony of Cancerians, the most sensitive sign, having this frightening phrase as their star sign’s name.

Bottom line: I’m not sure if it will last, but for the time being, I’ve decided to rename Cancer Moonchild, at least on my website.

What is the meaning of your moon sign?

Almost everyone knows their star sign (also known as sun sign), but what about our moon sign? Everything you need to know is right here.

The sign in which the sun was when you were born determines your star (or sun) sign. Because the earth takes 30-31 days to rotate around the sun and change signs, you share your sun sign with everyone born during that month. The brushstrokes of your personality, or ‘outer self,’ are determined by your solar sign. Your moon sign, on the other hand, reveals the REAL you, the private person you know yourself to be.

Because the moon only spends about two days in each sign, it’s a lot more unpredictable component of your birth chart. It largely explains why you are so unlike the other people you know who have your sun sign (does anybody else ever feel a little embarrassed when they learn that a despised celebrity shares their sun sign?)

The cauldron of emotions, fears, longings, and obsessions simmering beneath the surface of your sun sign-driven ego is reflected in your moon sign. It’s all about the inner self, its motives and fears. It has a significant impact on your interpersonal interactions and how you FEEL about things. It’s a deep hole.

What does it mean to have a lunar personality?

According to Donna Page, a professional astrologer with a masters degree in counseling psychology, your Sun sign portrays your external personality, while your Moon sign governs your emotions and mood. Page explains, “The moon dominates the night and our emotional universe.” “It has a significant impact on your total personality.”

Consider how others see you based on your Sun sign: the career you pick, where you choose to reside, and your personal style. Your Moon sign is more about how you react to life’s challenges. It also helps you establish a foundation of emotional stability and support, so it’s a significant deal, according to Page.

What is the difference between a Sun and a Moon child?

Sun and Moon Children

This is one of my favorite paintings to date, and I adore the colors. Moonchild by King Crimson was a loose inspiration. The sun (on your left) and the moon (on your right) are represented by these sisters, who stand together but apart (on your right). The sky and the sea are both depicted here, highlighting the day/night contrast. Sun Child holds a chalice that contains the sun’s light, while Moon Child carries a pitcher that contains the crescent moon. The day/morning is represented by a rooster, whereas the night is represented by a moon-bunny. This is a piece I debuted at Dragon*Con 2011 and sold. My husband Matt constructed a really nice diptych (two-paneled) altarpiece frame for me when I first got it. Despite the fact that the original has sold, I still have prints and other goods depicting these lovely ladies! Original acrylic painting by me.

SOLD OUT LIMITED EDITION CANVAS PRINTS The Open Edition Remarqued Canvas Prints, on the other hand, are truly the next best thing. They’re the same high-quality canvases that are stretched on boards and ready to hang, but they’re available in an open edition. This implies they aren’t numbered, dated, or signed by Jasmine, and they aren’t painted by Jasmine. They are, however, marked on the front with metallic ink and the authentic JBG seal/remarque (as shown in the photo), and come with a Certificate of Authenticty signed by Jasmine herself. The open edition canvases are shaped differently than the sold-out Limited Editions; they are 12×18 inches and are stretched on larger stretcher boards, making them a little deeper. Our Kansas facility ships Open Edition Canvases.

Is it possible for a Pisces to be a Moonchild?

If you’re a Pisces moonchild, you’re one of the most romantic zodiac signs, and you’ll try to elevate any relationship to a fantasy ideal. Because you are prone to seeing only the best in your spouse, it may be difficult for you to perceive a situation for what it truly is. You’ll thrive in a relationship with someone who respects your sensitivity and promotes your quest for creative brilliance.

Is Scorpio a Moonchild or a Sunchild?

When the moon, the celestial body that governs our private lives and emotions, is in the secretive and suspicious sign of Scorpio, the person is even more guarded and private about their emotional life and soul requirements.

Children with their moon in the sign of Scorpio are prone to gradually revealing themselves, even to individuals they trust, miniscule piece by minuscule piece. If you’re the parent of a child born with their moon in Scorpio, don’t be shocked if you’re still discovering about what makes them tick as they grow older.

Scorpios have boiling emotions that can feel out of control at times. Scorpio moon children are sometimes ashamed of, or even terrified of, their strong feelings. As a parent, it is your responsibility to ensure that these children feel comfortable discussing whatever that is on their minds, particularly their emotional lives. Never make a youngster feel awful or ashamed for experiencing the sensations and ideas that they do. You must establish trust in order for Scorpio moon children to open out to you.

This video will show you how to accomplish just that, as well as how to have the best possible relationship with your empathetic, perceptive Scorpio moon child. The whole video can be viewed by clicking on the image below.

Is your moon sign affected by the moment you were born?

The moon travels fast across the 12 zodiac signs, taking about a month to visit all of them. This is why, unlike finding your sun sign, determining your moon sign requires extreme precision. As a result, you cannot determine your lunar sign only based on your date of birth. To find out your specific moon sign, you’ll need your birth date, the geographic place where you were born, and the hour of your birth.

For correct lunar sign placement, it’s crucial to be as close to minutes as feasible. On the internet, you can find various astrology websites that will determine your moon sign based on your birth date, place of birth, and time of birth. You can also contact an experienced astrologer to identify your moon sign based on an estimate of your birth time.

How can you figure out what your moon sign is?

While determining your sun sign is simple (based on your birth date), determining your moon sign is a little more difficult.

Calculating your full date, location, and time of birth, as well as your position around the moon, yields your moon sign.

It travels fast across the zodiac, spending two to two and a half days in each sign.

Your lunar sign is likely to differ from your solar sign; for example, you may be a Taurus, but your lunar sign is Sagittarius.

What is the Virgo Moon?

Virgo is the sign of the Moon. The Moon in Virgo occurs when the lunar sky path crosses the sixth sector of the zodiac – between 150 and 180 degrees – where the Virgo constellation is located. Waxing Moon only passes through Virgo from March to September, and Waning Moon only passes through Virgo from September to March.
