First step: Sun sign and degree
It is necessary to focus on a specific planetary placement in the initial step. Because of the solar nature of our calendar, the Sun always appears about in the same location. You can get a general idea of the birth month and day if you know the Sun sign and degree, but not the year.
The Sun is located at 10 Pisces 50 in this instance. If you don’t know the general date ranges or seasons of the Sun signs, lists of Sun sign dates may be found all over the place, especially on this page dedicated to my zodiac signs.
Of course, any extra details about the date we want to go on could be useful. Since I am aware that the date falls within this range, I am using the 1950-2000 ephemeris in this instance.
I can use an ephemeris to estimate when 10 Pisces 50 usually occurs in any given year since I know that the Sun is in Pisces from roughly the last week of February to roughly three weeks into March.
Knowing that each symbol has 30 degrees makes sense. In this instance, we are seeking between 10 and 11 degrees of Pisces, or around one-third of the way across the sign, at 10 degrees and 50 minutes of Pisces.
We can see from the March 1950 ephemeris above that the Sun is at 9 Pisces 50 on March 1st, 1950, and at 10 Pisces 50 on March 2nd, but this fluctuates a little from year to year. We can infer that the individual with the aforementioned astrological positions was born on or about March 2nd.
Remember that the Sun moves by roughly 1 degree per day, which fits with the information that a sign is 30 degrees long and that the Sun spends about a month, or 30 days, in it.
Second step: Use Pluto’s position to determine the year of birth
This is somewhat of a simple cheat! Pluto moves so slowly that it doesn’t even come close to passing through every sign of the zodiac in a person’s lifetime. The Sun, on the other hand, travels through each of the twelve signs of the zodiac in about a year. Pluto only moves a few degrees of a sign each year, therefore we may estimate the year of birth using its degree and sign position.
Knowing the approximate dates of Pluto’s transit through each sign or looking up a chart or list of previous Pluto sign ingresses can be helpful. Pluto was in Scorpio from around 1983 to 1995, according to a table or simply a scroll through the 50-year ephemeris like I did in the demonstration video above. With the knowledge that it was retrograde, we’re looking for 7 Scorpio 14. Looking through the ephemeris to a day on March 1/2 when Pluto was retrograde and at 7 Scorpio 14, we get the following:

Your planetary, asteroidal, and other placements are based on your birth chart. We are all born with a unique astrological chart that describes who we are. A birth chart analyzes the astrological aspects and delicate angles of the wonderful moment of our birth and reveals who we are at our core.
Can a birth chart be determined without the birth time?
Thanks to the Earth’s daily rotation, the planets and the sky are both constantly in motion. A freeze-frame is provided by your birth chart. It is an image of the sky as it appeared when and when you first entered the earth. For a precise chart reading, you must be aware of the precise time, date, and location of your birth.
For instance, the Moon switches signs every two to three days. Only your birth time would be able to determine what sign the Moon was in when you were born if you were born on a day when it changed signs.

Leave no stone unturned
Do your research if it needs to be done. Your birth time may have been recorded even if you cannot see it on your birth certificate at home. The short-form birth certificate, which is effectively a signed statement that the long-form certificate exists, is all that many people have. The most important details, such your birthdate, are included, although the time is infrequently mentioned. The documentation kept at the hospital is the long-form birth certificate. More information is frequently included, such as the parents’ names, birth dates, hospitals, and yes, the time of birth.
Call the birth records management division of your local government to obtain the long-form certificate. Depending on where you live, this may be referred to as the vital statistics ministry, department, or office. Go digging
Examine ancient baby books, photo albums, attic boxes, scrapbooks, family bibles, etc. There’s a potential that your long-form certificate was misplaced, or that a meticulous parent, grandmother, or caregiver recorded the hour of your birth in their diary.
Ask around
Inquire with your parents, carers, or anybody who may have been there when you were born, such as a relative or close friend. As previously noted, finding a record with your precise birth time is ideal, but if you can zero in on the hour or general time of day, it can help you identify your Moon and limit the possibilities for your rising sign.
Rectify your chart
As a final resort, you can attempt to have an astrologer who specializes in this method correct your chart. Trial and error will always be a part of life. Although chart correction is not an exact science, it does work quite well for some people.
