By birthday, what element am I?

There are 12 astrological signs in Western tropical astrology. Each of the four elements has three Zodiac signs connected with it, which are always exactly 120 degrees apart along the ecliptic and are said to be in trine with one another. The four classical elements (also called as triplicities) are still used extensively by most current astrologers, and they are still considered a crucial part of astrological chart interpretation.

Starting with Aries, which is a Fire sign, the next sign in order is Taurus, which is Earth, followed by Gemini, which is Air, and finally Cancer, which is Water. This cycle repeats twice more before concluding with Pisces, the twelfth and final astrological sign. According to Marcus Manilius, the elemental rulerships for the twelve astrological signs of the zodiac are as follows:

  • Aries 1; Leo 5; Sagittarius 9 hot, dry, and ferocious
  • Heavy, chilly, and dry2Taurus; 6Virgo; 10Capricorn
  • 3 Gemini; 7 Libra; 11 Aquarius bright, hot, and damp
  • Water is for Cancer, 8 for Scorpio, and 12 for Pisces. It is cool, moist, and gentle.

What method do you use to read Bazi?

It’s realistic to suppose that any layperson will struggle to understand what the chart is attempting to communicate, whether from a technical or philosophical standpoint. Most people think of charts in terms of “This year is good; this year is bad,” or “This 10-year Luck Pillar is good; this 10-year “Luck Pillar is poor.” There’s nothing wrong with this in general, and as long as the chart is broken out properly by theory, you’ll be able to figure out what significant milestones to watch for. It could be a watershed moment in your life, or it could be a sign of impending doom. I believe what I want to emphasize here is that people typically react to a reading in one of two ways: during good years, they expect their goals to be fulfilled, and during poor years, they live in fear and worry excessively. It’s a pretty superficial and linear way of looking at things, and in my opinion, it’s not the finest application of metaphysics.

Every year and/or 10-year phase, I always tell my clients, is interconnected. You’ll miss out on a lot of useful insights regarding your life, how it will evolve, and how you are developing as a person if you choose to perceive them as independent and separate. Isn’t where we are now the culmination of everything we’ve gone through and all the choices we’ve made thus far? The Chinese classics don’t mention this idea of your annual and 10-year phases being intertwined, but I believe it’s because they thought people would already be reading the charts in this way and understand the philosophy that underpins them, which current audiences aren’t aware of.

As the number of charts under my belt rose and clients gladly shared their personal tales with me, the idea of seeing every 10-year phase and annual phase as interconnected began to emerge. You begin to recognize patterns and how things are not always as they appear. One of the most important realizations I’ve made is that having one’s desires fulfilled isn’t always a good thing. It may appear to be a good idea at the time and on the surface, but I’m sure many of us have made decisions we later regret. This is where the phases’ interconnectedness comes into play.

When completing a BaZi analysis, I always emphasize the importance of looking at the 10-year phases (), because this is the macro-environment you’re now functioning in, and it has a significant impact on how your life unfolds. It’s pointless to have a positive yearly phase if your 10-year phase is negative, which is why I often argue that annual zodiac forecasts are rubbish since they ignore this simple yet very important stage. There is a method for studying a BaZi chart that is both correct and structured. Ignoring the 10-year phase and focusing solely on the annual phase is a complete departure from the theory, and no legitimate practitioner should be doing so.

What are the zodiac’s 12 birthstones?

Each of the 12 months of the year is symbolized by one, or in some cases several, of the world’s most beautiful gemstones, and each of these birthstones has its own importance and meaning, making them great birthday gifts. But where did the idea of birthstones originate, and what traits are linked with them?

Birthstones appear to have their roots in the Bible. Moses orders special robes to be produced for Aaron, the Hebrew High Priest, according to Exodus 28. This contained a breastplate encrusted with twelve gemstones, each representing one of Israel’s twelve tribes. Emerald, sapphire, diamond, topaz, carbuncle, sardius, agate, ligure, amethyst, onyx, jasper, and beryl were among the twelve jewels.

The stones were then identified with the twelve zodiac signs between 1 and 5 AD, and in the 18th century, gem sellers in Poland associated each gemstone with a person’s birth month. The American National Association of Jewelers published an official list of birthstones in 1912, and while some alterations have occurred since then, the 1912 list is still in use today.
