What Is My Mayan Horoscope

Each day, one of the 20 Mayan signs changes. Your Day Sign is determined by the day of your birth. It displays your most defining traits and typical qualities.

cultures. In the first century B.C., Babylonia developed the first celestial coordinate system. The 12 zodiac signs that are recognized today were first separated into the ecliptic, the plane of the earth’s orbit around the sun, by Babylonian astronomers towards the end of the 5th century.

But in Mesoamerica, our predecessors operated in a different manner. The infamous Mayan calendar is probably something you’ve heard about (how do we feel about the world not actually ending in 2012?). Mayan astrology, unlike the zodiac system, is based on yearly computations in accordance with their calendar. The fact that these ancient civilizations were extremely advanced and forward-thinking is generally accepted (don’t let post-colonization myths convince you otherwise). One of Mesoamerica’s most powerful civilizations was the Maya.

Their astrology system was therefore equally complex. We will instead walk you through the Mayan Day signs, which would be the zodiac’s counterpart because it would take much more than this essay to handle this issue justice.

The calendar has 13 galactic numbers and 20-day signs that together make a 260-day year. The Mayans assigned each day a sign, and the system links the days to geographical locations. The signs, which are based on a person’s birthdate, birth time, and place of birth, reveal who that person truly is. Day signs, for instance, “may reveal our life purpose and illuminate both our strengths and weaknesses.”

After briefly discussing the past, let’s quickly go over what the day signs are. If you’d want a more detailed explanation, just let us know.

Which ones are yours, you ask? Although we didn’t spend the entire day working instead of using our calculator, the results are so precise that you’ll probably find that they correspond to the traits of your zodiac sign.

This is the

starting date for all subsequent counts – comparable to our use of the

birth of Christ as a starting point for modern historical dates.

To mark a date, the Maya calendar utilized five figures in this order:

baktun, katun, tun, uin, kin.

This might be expressed as, for

example:9.10.19.5.11 10 Chuen 4 Kumku, which translates as 9

baktuns (1,296,000 days), 10 katuns (72,000 days), 19

tuns (6,840 days), 5 uinals (100 days), 11 kins

(11 days).

This gives us a total of 1,374,951 days (about 3,764

solar years) since the commencement of the final Creation, at the Maya

calendar round position of 10 Chuen, 4 Kumku.

malevolent gods that wished to hinder their advancement.

For this reason, the Maya

believed that the heavenly bodies needed human help, which was provided

through sacred ceremonies such as

self-mutilation, torture, and human sacrifice.

To the Maya, offering

this help was merely the price to be paid for the ongoing survival of

the universe.

Death from such ceremonies was a privilege, and bestowed

immortality on those who died, or who presented themselves as victims.

The repeated cycles of creation and destruction

as portrayed in Maya mythology were a reminder of the dangers if

humanity ignored their duty to the gods.

Humans had an inherent

obligation to the gods who made humanity’s ongoing existence

possible.

However, the Maya used a system known as the Long Count, which counted time in kins, uinals, tuns, katuns, and baktuns. The number of days since the start of the Maya Fourth Creation is found by adding the numerals in a Maya Long Count date, which is August 13, 3114 B.C.

How do I find my Egyptian zodiac?

Egyptian astrology has 12 signs, just like the western zodiac. Egyptian astrology, on the other hand, gives each sign a particular day of the month. Except for the Nile, the ancient Egyptians called the signs of the zodiac after their gods and goddesses. It was thought that the personality of a person born under a particular sign was determined by the character of the deity or goddess. Let’s examine the Egyptian zodiac signs in more detail.
