Our birth chart is a circle divided into 12 sectors, resembling pie slices. Our “Houses” are the various areas of our lives that each slice represents. There are 12 zodiac signs in total, one of which rules each house.
Consider the signs as representing the mood, traits, and personality that give the houses their color and how you approach that part of your life. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are the signs that are always in the same sequence for everyone’s chart, however the sign that begins your chart depends on the time of your birth. Your Rising Sign or Ascendant Sign is the first sign in your astrological chart. Your natal birth chart’s wheel is launched by your Rising Sign, which marks the start of your 1st House. From 1 to 12, the houses are numbered counterclockwise.
