Can the nodes move backwards?
The lunar nodes changed from being in Cancer and Capricorn to Gemini and Sagittarius, which is another significant change. The nodes of the moon typically move backwards, unlike the planets. So they follow their usual trajectory and go backward. A reverse nodal return is what?
There were some concerns regarding the natal Nodes after yesterday’s post on the transiting Nodes moving into Libra/Aries. What happens, specifically, if your North and South Nodes at birth are in Libra or Aries?
It’s important whenever the transiting nodes are conjunct (pass over) your natal nodes. This category includes two distinct types of transits:
1) The Nodal Return: Your natal NN is crossed by the transiting NN (and the transiting SN passes over your natal SN). You are prompted to follow your NN route while overcoming your SN tendencies by significant events or persons. Around the ages of 19, 38, 57, and 75, this transit happens (ages are approximate).
2) The Inverse (or Reverse) Nodal Return, in which the transiting NN and SN cross your natal NN and SN, respectively. By seeing your future potential directly manifest, you may put an end to old problems. In the present, the past and future collide. Around the ages of 9, 27, 46, 65, and 83, this occurs (ages are approximate).
Contrary to certain planetary transits, nodal transits are different. They don’t force you to change (like Pluto) or awaken you to reality (like Uranus). How well you are aware of your Nodal route will determine a lot (your potential). These transits may pass you by if you’re not fully aware of what you need to move away from and toward. Look at the ages I provided for both returns and recall any notable occurrences (and trends) that took place around those dates.
