Is it true that Aquarius died in Fairy Tail?
Aquarius employs Water Magic (Mizu Kei Kakushu Mah) as her primary combat weapon. She can control water through her urn with her Magic to hit opponents with immense force, mainly via giant waves of water or forms of beam attacks. Aquarius is a powerful Celestial Spirit; even after Loke, a “fighting specialist,” became one of Lucy Heartfilia’s Celestial Spirits, Lucy thinks Aquarius to be as strong as or even stronger than him.
- Torrent (Gekiry): Aquarius absorbs water in her urn and then hurls it with incredible force at her target. It was powerful enough to simply toss a yacht a hundred miles out at sea back to the shore.

Is Lucy able to destroy the Aquarius key?
The key is shown in the Manga as a regular golden key with the Water Bearer’s crest, two parallel waves, stamped on its bow. The key is still represented as gold in the anime, but it is more delicately constructed. The bow is shaped like an upside-down urn and has two handles on either side. The Water Bearer’s crest is stamped in blue on the white center of the bow, with a heart on the base. The key’s blade is shaped like a mermaid’s tail, with “fins” emerging from either side of the bow’s base, and four more at the tip curving towards the center.
Though most spirits are summoned in water, there may be exceptions in extremely unusual instances, like as when Lucy summoned all of her spirits at once, or when all twelve Gold Key spirits were summoned to close the Eclipse Gate.
At Aquarius’ request, the key was destroyed so Lucy could defeat Tartaros and save her allies from Alegria by summoning the Celestial Spirit King.
The Water Bearer Key has been reforged, according to Aquarius, a year after Lucy shattered it to call the King. It currently resides somewhere in the world.

Celestial Spirits are divided into various types, all of which are subject to their owner’s basic summoning criteria. Loke, for example, summons himself most of the time without Lucy doing so, Virgo has summoned herself once, as have Gemini and Horologium, and contracts can be temporarily dissolved if trust between the Celestial Spirit and the owner is not an issue. It also appears that if the Celestial Spirit is powerful enough, they can utilize their own Magic to remain in the Human World even when the contract is not in effect. The strength of the Celestial Spirits is influenced by the summoner’s Magic Power, since Lucy once stated that if she trained more, her spirits could grow even stronger than Natsu’s.
