What House Is Aries In My Chart

Look at the inner circle on your chart for these. The digits one through twelve will be shown in a counterclockwise direction. These are your residences. There will be many planetary symbols in some of these sections.

In your horoscope, what are the houses?

Our birth chart is a circular divided into 12 sections, similar to how a pie is cut into slices. Each slice represents a different aspect of our lives, which we refer to as “Houses.” Each house is controlled by a different zodiac sign, and there are a total of 12 zodiac signs.

Consider the signs to be the vibe/personality/characteristics that color the homes and how you handle that aspect of your life. The signs are always in the same order in everyone’s chart (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces), but the sign that begins your chart is determined by your date of birth. The Rising Sign, also known as the Ascendant Sign, is the first sign in your horoscope. The beginning of your 1st House, which starts your natal birth chart wheel, is your Rising Sign. From 1 to 12, the houses are numbered counterclockwise. So, if your rising sign is Cancer, your chart will still follow the same order as before, but will begin with Cancer (Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, etc). Each sign is 30 degrees in length, but some of our properties are larger or smaller than that. As a result, a pair of zodiac signs may fall into the same house. Even if several signs are falling in a house, you always go to the first sign (the House Cusp) to see which sign “rules” that sector of your life.

When you are born, the planets are all in distinct signs in the sky. So, once you know your Rising Sign, you can discover which house each of those planets resides in in your natal chart. This will bring the meanings of those planets into your homes. Each planet represents a different aspect of our personalities, thus determining which area of life (or house) they belong in will influence how we use that aspect of our personalities.

While the focus of this piece is on our natal charts, I must emphasize that the houses play a crucial role in anticipating events. The sky changes all the time, but your birth chart does not. So you can look at what’s going on in the sky right now and compare it to your chart to see how it’s affecting you and where in your life (what house) you’ll be feeling the effects and possible results. These are referred to as transits. More on those later, but this helps to explain why each house has so many different connotations, many of which may be surprising to hear if our charts are merely interpreted as our “make-up.”

What houses are ruled by Aries?

Everyone has a unique birth chart and, as a result, a unique house system based on their ascendant, or rising sign. The ascendant is the position of the sun on the horizon when you were born in relation to where you were on the earth (pretty cool, huh). You’ll need to know your birth time because we’re looking at the exact minute you were born. So, if you haven’t already, pull out your phone and text your mother for your due date.

The houses move counterclockwise around your chart, starting with your ascendant. Each of the 12 houses of astrology is typically ruled by a zodiac sign, with Aries ruling the first house, Taurus ruling the second, Gemini ruling the third, and so on.

However, depending on which zodiac sign controls your first house, each of these houses will be ruled by a different sign in your birth chart, unless it is ruled by Aries, in which case your houses will fall into the twelve houses of their conventional rulerships!

If you look at your chart right now, you’ll note that several planets are crowded in just a few of the houses, while others are vacant. Don’t worry, it’s quite normal!

The majority of our horoscopes prefer certain houses over others. Even if there are no planets in a house, it’s still vital to know which sign rules it since it will reveal how you relate to that aspect of your life.

Now let’s look at what each house represents and what each house covers, so scroll down to learn about the different types of rooms the planets inhabit in your birth chart!

The 1st House: Self-Image

Consider it a large walk-in closet with plenty of mirrors (we’re talking about a fantasy walk-in closet here).

This is your home, sweetheart! On the western horizon of your chart, the first house is where the zodiac wheel begins. It is the start of your personality as well as the start of the personal houses (houses 1-6), which inform us about our identity and personal development. While the sun sign reveals our most fundamental self, the first house reveals more about how we see ourselves and the world.

Our rising sign is the zodiac sign that dominates this house, and it’s interesting to note that it might predict some aspects of our physical appearance (genetics allowing). Libra risings are recognized for having symmetrical faces, Scorpio risings are known for having naturally dark or red hair, Sagittarius risings are known for having strong, attractive legs, and so on.

The 2nd House: Self-Worth and Money

This dwelling can be compared to a solarium with plants or a safe where valuables in your home are hidden.

The second house is all about the tangible world of what we can hold in our hands, possess, and do with it. Money, personal resources, and tangible goods naturally fall under the second house’s control, but the concept of worth extends beyond what we can hold in our hands, so we can learn a lot about ourselves under this house. Look at your second house to determine what zodiac sign rules it for a boost in self-esteem; the positive qualities of that sign are ones you’ll want to lean into in this life.

The sign that rules this house in your horoscope might reveal information about your own economics and how you will gain money throughout your lifetime, as well as which aspects of yourself you should nourish to feel more valuable.

The 3rd House: Communication

Depending on the sign that rules the third house in your horoscope, this house can feel like a library or a bustling kitchen.

The house of the intellect and early education is the third house. This is the way we think and communicate, the quality of our thoughts and how quickly we think them. So, for some, this house is like curling up in a nice cozy chair and reading a book, while for others, it’s like that moment when you don’t say a word but your sister or cousin understands exactly what you’re thinking.

The home sign might reveal whether or not we have a good memory, if we are nostalgic, worried, set in our ways, open to change, and so on.

What’s in the 7th house of my horoscope?

The 7th house, ruled by Libra, is concerned with relationships and how we conduct ourselves in them.

It is traditionally known as the house of marriage, but it governs all of our connections, including lovers, business partners, and even enemies.

“Unlike the 5th house, where sex, pleasure, and what we seek in another person reside, the 7th house is recognized as the house of marriage and committed or contractual partnering,” says astrologer Corina Crysler.

“It can also reveal what we require in our relationships, as well as the patterns we continue to have.”

What is the meaning of the Aries Moon?

Rather than planting seeds during the Full Moon in Aries, which occurs in fall when the Sun is in Libra, we want to develop the energy, to harvest the seeds that we planted six months ago during the New Moon in Aries back in spring. So the Aries Full Moon is the period when all of the new things we started are either coming to fruition and working, or they aren’t. If the seeds we planted are producing results, we must then cultivate the crop, harvest it, and do something with it. If something isn’t working, it’s time to let it go and try something else.
