Step 2: Ask contextual questions
Ask a factual inquiry to put the issue in context and avoid going over the subject again.
Getting the context straight allows us to stay away from the emotions and focus on the facts. Don’t we state that facts are unyielding?
This will bring clarity, constructive thought, and positive contact back into your life. In 85 percent of situations, the deception will come to an end there.
Step 3: Metacommunicate
Metacommunicating is talking about the process rather than the topic of the communication.
To do so, talk on what’s going on between you rather than the topic of the conversation. Describe the state of your relationship. You can also express your emotions and feelings.
It’s critical that you have a compassionate and positive attitude for this to succeed.
This is how you characterize the above-mentioned occurrence. You’re now in the “meta” position, and you’re communicating with yourself.
The fact that the subject is being discussed typically provides enough perspective for the manipulator to leave his office.
If the manipulator persists, pull out your diary and schedule a meeting with him at a later time to save time.
Step 4: Make a later appointment

It’s not a matter of deflating here, but of making a strategic decision. The goal is to take some time to reflect on what’s going on and return with improved strengths.
