The Gemini Coven was a prominent coven of witches from Portland, Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. They’re known for their affinity for cloaking spells and for their unusual method of choosing a leader from a group of twins.

The Geminis were also famed for their ability to establish Prison Worlds and for having discovered a way to communicate with their deceased ancestors before the collapse of the Other Side.

As a result of the death of their leader, Malachai Parker, the coven has died out. Josie Saltzman, Josette’s daughter, is the only one who has survived. Due to their deaths and subsequent transformation into witch-vampire hybrids, Valerie Tulle and Lizzie Saltzman are the only remaining former members of this coven. Their bond to the Gemini was broken when they were changed into vampires.

After the next Merge, the next leader will take on that responsibility, and the previous leader will be relieved of that burden and will be able to die without affecting the coven as a whole.
  • We also know how important it is for the twin to absorb the strength of their opposite twin. Kai fought Luke for his Merge, but because his twin is Jo, he felt terribly ill immediately after winning. It only came to an end when Jo freely handed up her magic to her twin. She continued to live, but she was no longer a witch.
