Was Jesus A Sagittarius

This isn’t a blog about religion or the historicity or religiosity of Jesus. It’s a blog about star signs, and since it’s the holiday season, and the widely believed date of Jesus’ birth provides a helpful spot in a chronology from which we can draw comparisons, it’s a good time to talk about it. So I’m not going to debate whether Jesus was born on this date, what reports there are of him, or even whether he existed as a historical entity at all.

I’m also not going to get into the fact that dates have altered over the last two thousand years. In 1 AD, the Romans used the Julian calendar, which had 12 months and one additional day for leap years. The Gregorian calendar, which was created in 1582 and differs from the Julian calendar by 1 day every 128 years, is now widely used. Other cultures had their own ways of calculating the passage of time at the time (the Mayan calendar has been one of interest in recent years). The winter solstice, on the other hand, is a calendar date that corresponds to the widely recognized date of Jesus’ birth. (This is most likely why that date became accepted as the birthdate, as the Romans already celebrated it in their Sol Invictus festival.)

In conclusion, if the title of this blog offends you, please change it to something more correct, but less intriguing. Is it possible to be a Capricorn if you were born around the winter solstice in the year 1 AD?

Your Star Sign

Pisces is my zodiac sign. What exactly does that imply? To the majority of people (in cultures where star signs are popular), it simply implies that I was born between February 19 and March 20. But why are those dates significant? Let’s pretend I was born on February 19th at 12:00 a.m. (noon). I would be a Pisces if I were born in 1982, but an Aquarius if I were born in 1983. Astrologers refer to these transition dates as “cusp dates,” and determining the exact time when the transition happens is not easy. During the 1980s, for example, the changeover time ranged from 00:20 to 20:00, with no discernible pattern.

Essentially, the position of the Sun in the sky at the moment of your birth determines your star sign. The Sun appears to move in lockstep with the Earth’s rotation, just as the stars do, but the Earth’s rotational axis is tilted relative to its orbital axis, causing the Sun to deviate from the paths of the stars, such that it passes through the ecliptic plane (the plane in which the Earth orbits the Sun and contains the 12 zodiac constellations) once a year. Using Pisces as an example, this indicates that between 19 February and 20 March, the Sun will be in the Pisces constellation’s sector of the sky (the crossover between Pisces and Aries occurs at the Vernal Equinox). It isn’t, but we’ll get to that later.

Your Zodiac Sign

As an aside, there is a distinction to be made between a Star Sign (Sun Sign) and a Zodiac Sign. The star sign refers to the Sun’s position in the sky, whereas the zodiac sign refers to the stars themselves. The ascendant, or which zodiac sign was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth, determines your zodiac sign. A new zodiac sign will rise every two hours since the sky is divided into 12 segments. Astrologers interpret not just the Sun’s and horizon’s positions in relation to the stars, but also the moon’s and planets’ positions. We’ll concentrate on the star sign for the rest of this blog because it’s the most well-known in Western culture.

Not a Pisces?

Because the Sun was in the constellation Pisces at the time of my birth, we’ve deduced that I’m a Pisces, right? Unfortunately, the answer is no. The Sun was in the constellation Aquarius when I was born in March of the mid-1970s. In fact, it’s almost certain that the Sun was not in the constellation you associate with when you were born. If you’re wondering, you can find out what your true star sign is here.

What are we doing wrong? Isn’t it true that we’ve been using zodiac signs since the Babylonians? That is, in fact, the issue. The dates connected with the constellations have not changed over time, but the location of the Sun in the sky at certain times has.

Allow me to explain. Because the Earth’s axis is tilted, its orbit around the Sun resembles that of a spinning top. Furthermore, the Earth is not a perfect spherical, and the equator is slightly larger. Precession is caused by gravity from the moon and other planetary objects on the ecliptic plane, which causes an imbalance in the Earth’s orbit. This film serves as a great example. Notice how the rod supporting the mass rotates due to the mass imbalance? The Earth is subject to the same precession, which results in a 26,000-year revolution around this precession circle. This means that the stars’ positions in relation to the Sun and planets will change over time, and their positions will change at the same time.

To put it another way, the Sun moves through the sky at a rate of about one constellation every 2200 years. So, if I was born between the 19th and 20th of February in the year 1 AD, I’d be a Pisces. Today, on the other hand, I’d be an Aquarius. A person born between these dates in the year 4000 AD would be a Capricorn, as the Sun would be in that position at the time of their birth.

And the Constellations Themselves?

Your star sign fluctuates based on the year you were born, as we’ve established. Isn’t it true, though, that the constellations themselves don’t change? Surely, some images created by connecting dots between selected stars in the sky will always seem the same. What may possibly be the issue? You probably have a good idea where this is going. No, neither the constellations nor the stars are constant. The solar system orbits the center of its galaxy with a period of roughly 250 million years, and the stars are all at varying distances from the Earth.

As the Earth rotates around the Sun, stars that are relatively close to the Earth alter their position in the sky. Astronomers calculate the distance to the star by measuring the angular change in the star’s location at six-month intervals and using simple trigonometry (knowing that the Earth moves 300,000 km around the Sun every six months). This is known as parallax.

As each star orbits the galaxy’s core, its relative position to the Earth will vary in a similar way. As a result, the distribution of stars in the sky varies over lengthy periods of time. As a result, the constellations will change their appearance. It takes tens of thousands of years for them to evolve to the point where they are no longer recognisable, but they are always changing. The image below depicts a simulation of how several well-known constellations will change during the next 150,000 years (thanks to Halycon Maps).

Summary

Is it possible that Jesus was born under the sign of Capricorn? He would have been, without a doubt. However, if he were born today, he would be a Sagittarius. Also, back then, the Sagittarius constellation would have appeared a little different. All of these orbital planes certainly complicate matters.

I hope you have a good time at the Sol Invictus festival. Howard Tutoring wishes you all the best. We’ll see you again next year.

Cornell University was kind enough to provide some of the precession information. Thanks also to Wired magazine for their piece on the constellations’ changing appearances.

What zodiac is Jesus?

An astrological age is a period of time in astrology that corresponds to fundamental changes in the development of Earth’s inhabitants, particularly in culture, society, and politics, and there are twelve astrological ages that correlate to the twelve zodiac signs. The precession of the equinoxes causes astronomical ages, and one whole phase of this precession is called a Great Year or Platonic Year, which lasts around 25,920 years.

The age of Pisces began around the year 1 and will finish around the year 2150. Many Christian icons for Christ incorporate the astrological symbol for Pisces, the fishes, because the narrative of Christ’s birth falls on this date. Christ is regarded an archetype of the Piscean since he has many of the temperaments and personality qualities of a Piscean. Furthermore, the twelve apostles were known as “fishers of men,” early Christians were known as “little fishes,” and “Ikhthus,” the Greek word for fish, was used as a code term for Jesus. The beginning of the age, or the “Great Month of Pisces,” is seen as the start of the Christian religion as a result of this. Saint Peter is the apostle of the Piscean zodiac sign.

Was Jesus a Capricorn or Sagittarius?

But here’s the thing: Jesus was, of course, a Capricorn. Yes, his birthday is December 25th, but he also possesses all of the characteristics of a model Capricorn. Allow me to count the ways as MEL’s resident astrologist/dude-strologist:

  • He had a meteoric ascent to stardom, followed by a meteoric collapse. The apex of the natal chart — the mid-heaven — is ruled by Capricorns. They’re linked to the father, god (or anything perceived to be higher than ourselves), and our public standing. And, uh, heaven, the father, and God are all closely linked to Jesus, who is both the Son of God and a heaven-dweller.
  • He was empathetic to everyone around him and quickly rose to the position of leader. He accepted his death sentence with dignity and elegance on the day before his crucifixion, rather than a histrionic freak-out (see Cancer), and surrounded himself with 12 of his closest companions (i.e., the Disciples), of which he was the leader. Judas, that one not-so-good friend, was most likely a Gemini with two faces.
  • He comes from low beginnings and has only grown as a result of adversity. Dude was born in a mound of hay and worked as a carpenter to rise from the ashes to become someone we still talk about today (not to mention, the star of the best-selling book of all-time). Every Capricorn wishes to achieve this.
  • He never cracked a smile. To be honest, the readiness to take on their own emotional responsibilities, as well as the problems of people around them, is the most telling indicator of a Capricorn. Capricorns appreciate becoming rocks for those they love in any way they can, without ever breaking down. He also only cried once (see John Chapter 11, Verse 35). ONCE. He didn’t even want to discuss it.

I’ve made my case. Because the birth of the Christ child, who would go on to be renowned as the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace, the Lamb of God, and so on, falls on the Capricorn-iest of Capricorns.

What disciple is Sagittarius?

Judas Judas decided to get rich quick and gave Jesus over to the Romans in Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21). He came to regret his decision and committed suicide as a result of the guilt and shame he felt.

What was Jesus actual birthday?

The celebration of Christ’s birth extended from Rome to other Christian churches in the west and east, and by December 25, most Christians were celebrating Christ’s birth. Other winter-solstice rites followed by diverse pagan communities, like as the lighting of the Yule log and decorations with evergreens by Germanic tribes, were also included to the Roman feast. Christmas was first recorded in the English language as Christes maesse, which meant “Christ’s mass” or “Christ’s festival” in Old English. St. Nicholas of Myra, a saint who is thought to visit youngsters with gifts and warnings just before Christmas, was a prominent medieval feast. This legend grew into the present tradition of leaving gifts for children delivered by “Santa Claus,” a shortened version of St. Nicholas’ Dutch name, Sinterklaas.

Is Jesus a Leo?

The events of Jesus’ life correspond to his astrological chart’s interpretation. His usage of the phrase kingdom reveals his Leo personality. His dealings with youngsters, as well as his statement that one must become like a kid in order to enter the kingdom, demonstrate his Leo character.

What time is Jesus born?

As a result, there is little reliable information about Jesus’ birth date. What emerges from Luke’s and Matthew’s biblical traditions is:

  • At the time of Jesus’ birth, Israel was ruled by Herod the Great. However, because he died in 4 BC rather than 0 BC, the period from 7 to 4 BC can be considered the time of Jesus’ birth.
  • Mary and Joseph were Jesus’ parents, and they were engaged at the time of his birth.
  • According to the Bible, Jesus was born as a virgin, thanks to the Holy Spirit’s intervention.

What is wrong with the date of Christmas?

A December birth date is doubtful, according to the Bible, because there are several signs in the Bible that the date of December 25 cannot be correct.

Why Jesus is a Capricorn?

Capricorns: you may love them or despise them, but there is one Capricorn you are morally forbidden to despise: Jesus! While the church may dismiss astrology and the zodiac as nonsense, many people are unaware that the three wise men who followed the Magi did so “The Capricorn constellation was followed by “Star in the East.” Wow! While we didn’t double-check this, it did make us ponder about how much of a Capricorn Jesus is. This is why:

1. He’s extremely shy:

“Don’t tell anyone I told you,” Jesus would say every time he did something for someone else (healing the ill, feeding the destitute, you know, day-to-day pay-it-forwards), or in more exact and correct words: “And he charged them to tell no one; but go…” Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Only a shy guy would achieve a miracle, then swear against it and say things like that “Please don’t tell anyone, okay?!?” Jesus was plainly displeased with the added attention, implying that He is extremely shy. This is a quintessential Capricorn characteristic!

2. He’s hell-bent on achieving his goals:

Jesus is the ultimate underdog, a narrative of rags to riches. Who’d have guessed that a little old buddy from Bethlehem’s slums would one day become God? Nobody. Christ, like all Capricorns, has the classic ambitious character that we all know and adore. Not to mention that he performs some pretty bizarre things that only a lunatic would do “Bro would be able to pull it off if he worked hard and played harder. Do you want to feed 5,000 people? What in the world was that? He simply showed up and transformed a few bits of stale bread and moldy fish into a supper for thousands. Who is it that does that? Our Man is a mover and a shaker, a doer, and we know that if Jesus alive today, He’d be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. I am unmistakably a Capricorn.

3. He’s a devoted knucklehead:

Many people are unaware that the phrase was coined by our Lord and Savior “These scumbags aren’t trustworthy.” And who could blame Him, given that Jesus is the most devoted of hoes? Jeezy C is a devoted Hoe because he flipped out when Judas went behind his back. If you’re not here for that, then get out of here. The Son of God rolled with a tight crew, and if you’re not here for that, then get out of here. In the same way as non-god Capricorns are loyal to their “family” and “friends,” Jesus is faithful to His disciples. What a lovely gesture.

4. He is ALWAYS prepared for the worst:

Capricorns are known for being too gloomy and expecting the worst to come to them. The Son of God is no exception, as He frequently mentions that He’ll “had to suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be murdered,” and that Hell would be “a furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth,” and so on. Blood and Hellfire are all well and good, but seriously, Dude, cheer up! Although Jesus may declare that he is being realistic, we all know that He is a real Debbie Downer who could use a little more positivity in His life. What a Capricorn you are!

5. He’s a classic bitch:

However, Jesus’ embrace of tradition is by far the most prominent Capricorn attribute. It may seem antiquated for a Traditional Tracy like Himself to be so set in his ways, but Jesus can show that it can also be admirable! Some people, like as Jesus, simply believe that the sanctity of marriage exists for the union of a man and a woman, as well as for that same woman to be impregnated by a spiritual creature. It’s just good old-fashioned family values for you, and no one can argue with that! This nonsense is devoured by Capricorns, as well as Jesus, of course.

Oh, Capricorn, you’re such a jerk! J.C. is, in fact, so blatantly a Capricorn that it hurts. Now that you know Jesus is one, you’d better hope your zodiac sign is compatible with Capricorns, or you’ll most likely end yourself in Hell.
