If Markus pushes Leo, what happens?
For each of the characters, Detroit Become Human quickly picks up speed. For instance, when Markus and Carl get home one night, they discover the studio lights are still on. They mistake it for an intruder, but it’s actually Carl’s renegade son Leo looking through the artwork. As the situation worsens, Leo will start attacking Markus. Carl advises against fighting back because doing so would contaminate you, but you always have a choice. Here’s what happens if you decide to put up with Leo or confront him.
Markus will eventually conclude it’s not fair to simply listen to Carl and obey him. He wants the freedom to choose when and how to attack. You’ll have a choice after he overcomes his programming, both symbolically and physically as players will see.
Markus will grab Leo and slam him back if you decide to shove. He will fall, hit his head, and instantly lose consciousness. Carl will weep over his son’s body and tell Markus to get away from the police since they will think he is a monster. Unfortunately, Markus doesn’t move, the police who burst in mistake him for the attacker, and he is shot.
What would happen if Markus accused Leo?
Broken’s opening scenes will always result in Markus and Carl entering the studio to confront Leo. Carl will give Markus the order not to defend himself as the situation worsens. This ending will occur if the Obey Carl option is selected, which causes the Carl Dies of Heart Attack event to occur. It goes without saying that Carl will not return in the game if he dies in this chapter. In both chapter endings, Markus experiences the same thing.
Whatever happens in the opening scenes of this chapter, Markus and Carl will find themselves in the studio with Leo. Nevertheless, Markus has a chance to go when Carl advises him not to respond violently. Carl won’t experience a heart attack or pass away if this is selected and the Push Leo option is used. No matter how players approach this chapter, Markus will be held accountable for Leo, hence his outcome remains the same.

Leo will have to fall over and hit his head (don’t worry, he’s not dead) as a result of your resistance if you wish to save Carl. You’ll prevent any physical harm from coming to your master, Carl, if you push back against Leo.
In Detroit: Become Human, what happens if you defend yourself?
A bronze prize for Detroit: Become Human is DEFEND YOURSELF. If Markus pushed Leo after turning evil in Broken, causing Leo to seem to have died, then Markus has earned it. He was just hospitalized, it is subsequently discovered. At the flowchart screen, the trophy can then be obtained.
In Detroit: Become Human, should I push Leo?
Marcus and Carl are returning from a party at the start of the chapter. Take Carl into the living room to give him scotch once you have Marcus under control. It will be located in the middle of the space. To pour Carl a drink, follow the instructions. After a brief scene, Carl will ask Marcus to enter the studio through the automatic door after which Marcus will call the police.
Carl’s kid Leo is poking about the studio when you can enter with him. Carl will beg you to send Leo away after a fight between a father and son. Approach Leo and decide on your course of action.
Leo will become combative with you and his father no matter what decision you choose. After attempting to break up the altercation, he will shove both Carl and you around. Marcus will then be asked by Carl not to make a defense.
You’ll ultimately notice button prompts for Marcus to turn into a deviant as Leo keeps hitting you. When the prompts start to defy his directions, press them.
Once you’ve done that, Leo will grab you and give you the option to either push him or take his punishment. Leo will die if you push him; accept his punishment instead. Carl is having a heart attack as this is happening as a result of the fight.
Is Markus rA9?
Kara:
- rA9, the first android to develop self-awareness, serves as the titular android in the 2032 altered version of the 2012 PS3 Tech Demo “KARA.” It is further hypothesized that this may have somehow altered the algorithms of the other androids, enabling them to develop deviant behavior as well as providing them with an abstract point of reference for the original deviant, who they came to worship as rA9.
Markus:
- It is implied throughout the game that rA9 will be the one to let the androids free. Markus appears to meet these requirements as the Android Rebellion’s eventual leader. He may free the majority of the androids, making him rA9, depending on the gameplay. Furthermore, Markus’s model number is RK200, and every suitable component he discovers in From the Dead has either an A or a 9, occasionally both, in their model number.
- R can stand for Markus The Leader of Jericho’s model number (RK200), A for Android, and 9 for November 9th (the day that CyberLife stores were assaulted and many androids were set free). It might imply that on November 9th, Markus, the androids’ leader, launched the uprising.
Connor:
- Lucy informs Connor in Crossroads. You’re adrift. You’re trying to find something. You’re trying to find yourself. Connor was searching for Markus or North, whom he may have mistaken for rA9 depending on the player’s selections. When Connor transforms androids or transforms himself into Connor -60 at CyberLife Tower, a faint sound that sounds like “rA9” can be heard.
Alice:
- Alice was the first android to have her sensor removed and is (perhaps) the first awakened android who can experience love. rA9 is an acronym for “real Alice 9.” (9 as in 9 years old). She is a child, thus the letter “r” rather than “R” means “small robot,” which is another possible meaning.
Chloe:
- According to a fan idea, Chloe, the android visible in the main menu, is rA9. According to this notion, since the Chloe model was the first to be perfected, it would also be the first to exhibit evidence of deviation. Chloe’s peculiar behavior in the main menu as you get deeper in the game lends more credence to this idea.
Lucy:
- Like one would anticipate a prophet to be, Lucy is prophetic and all-knowing (RA9 is believed to be the prophet or messiah of the androids).
The Performer
- As rA9 will set us free is a widespread sentiment among androids, the player controls all the characters and, depending on how they are played through, can lead the androids to freedom.
Characters in the Game:
- The idea that all three of the playable characters are rA9 is similar to “The Player” theory. The word “rA9” consists of three letters: r = 18 (which, when the digits are added, also equals 9), A = 9, and 9 (which is 3 squared). The three major protagonists’ decisions affect how deviancy spreads and how the revolution turns out. The words in Rupert’s diary likewise come in a trio: “The first is rA9. Our savior is rA9. We will be set free by rA9.” – Although it is presumed that this is referring to a single person or entity, it might also be referring to the three distinct characters that together make up rA9. Potentially with Markus being “our savior” in that he finds a failing and weak Jericho and leads them to revolution, Kara being “the first” – both in game as the first to awaken and in reality the first deviant we saw in KARA (tech demo), and Connor being “the one who’ll free us” because in the successful Deviant Connor path he will free hundreds of androids in “Connor at the CyberLife Tower.”
- rA9 describes Elijah Kamski. He created and wrote the code for androids, giving him the ability to engineer the entire revolution by including a backdoor for Markus in every android. He started the process by giving Markus to Carl, who he knew would try to divert Markus, in order to get Carl to start the process. The fact that androids have been observed sobbing indicates that they were created with the ability to express emotion through performance (or perhaps even feeling).
Amanda:
- According to canon, Kamski built Amanda to communicate with Connor and keep him on the correct track for CyberLife so they could seize power when they saw fit. It is believed that Kamski developed the RA9 virus because he wants the androids to deviate. If Amanda is the RA9 virus, Connor is the unintentional carrier and source of the deviation if Amanda is the RA9 virus. Without realizing it, other androids spread it from where he started without stopping. This may help to explain why, after just a few weeks, there are millions of deviants left in the game. Since he can exhibit some indicators of deviancy when he is first presented in August, like saving the fish, Connor might be the epicenter of deviation. This is not the first instance of deviancy, and Connor has likely looked at other cases before. It might be the first case that version 51 Connor looks into, though. According to Connor, who examines the police records, the first occurrence of deviancy was reported in January or February of 2038.
Markus: Can He Be Saved?
If you don’t have a North’s detonator from the Crossroads chapter, then this is your only choice to free Markus who is stuck to the wall. At a later stage, death will result if you fail the combat (QTE).
In Detroit: Become Human, can Carl live?
Carl is a painter and artist. In the 2020s, he rose to prominence as the face of the “Neo-Symbolist movement.” Carl entered a dark phase marked by drink and drugs following a prolific period that lasted for years (possibly after the accident, see below). As far as the general public is aware, Carl presumably started working again a few months prior to November 2038.
Leo, Carl’s kid, was born in 2010 as a result of a brief relationship with an unidentified admirer. Leo never met Carl until he was a teenager, despite the fact that Carl accepted Leo as his son and provided child support. Their relationship is tense because Leo thinks Carl never loved him and didn’t want him. Their relationship is strained by Leo’s Red Ice addiction and his constant in and out of sobriety.
Carl suffered a serious injury at some time, losing the use of his legs and turning into a paraplegic. Carl’s subsequent depression and withdrawal lasted for several years. An RK200 prototype android named Markus was given to him by his buddy and CyberLife creator Elijah Kamski to serve as Carl’s caregiver and companion. Markus is completely committed to Carl and follows his recommendations regarding studying music and literature as well as his views on the world and people. Carl regained his enthusiasm for life and for painting while in Markus’ care, and the two of them developed a father-son bond.
Carl’s life and happiness significantly improved after meeting Markus, but his relationship with Leo deteriorated considerably. Leo felt Carl treated Markus better than him, which made him envious of Markus and his friendship with Carl. He repeatedly mentions that since Markus is “perfect,” Carl must love Markus more than he does.
Alice is she an android?
She was once believed to be Todd Williams’ daughter, Kara’s original owner. Her care is to be taken of by Kara. Since her mother left the house, her father has been abusing her.
She is actually a YK500 child android that Todd purchased to replace his biological daughter after she moved out with her mother. Alice and Todd have been together for little more than five years since the YK500 model was introduced in 2033.
In Detroit: Become Human, how old is Leo?
A brief yet intense relationship between painter Carl Manfred and a fan resulted in the birth of Leo on March 21, 2010. Leo was reared by his mother, and Carl acknowledged his fatherhood and generously supported him. However, he did not see Leo again until he was 16 years old (2026).
He was constantly requesting money because of his father’s affluence, which he used in part to sustain his drug addiction. Because he believed Carl treated Markus considerably better than his own kid, he struggled to embrace Markus.
