Taurus is owned by which company?
Taurus Holdings Inc., founded in 1982, is a Georgia-based holding corporation that owns some of the most durable guns brands on the market today. Taurus Holdings is owned by Taurus Armas, S.A., a well-known publicly traded Brazilian company. Taurus Armas manufactures not only the weapons for which it is well-known, but also a wide range of consumer and industrial items that are sold all over the world.
Taurus Holdings’ Bainbridge, Georgia facilities produce a variety of Taurus pistol models. We have nearly 300 employees who assist the manufacturing, importation, servicing, sales, and marketing of Taurus and subsidiary branded weapons.
Taurus or S&W: which is better?
Now that our ultimate gun duel has concluded, it’s time to proclaim the challenge’s winner. When all of the attributes of both pistols are considered, the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm outperforms the Taurus G2C in some areas, but the Taurus G2C outperforms the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm in others. In this situation, I believe the conflict will end in a tie.
But, honestly, it doesn’t matter how this fight ends; it’s all a matter of personal taste. You will not make a mistake if you get the Shield. The rifle appears to be nearly ideal for concealed carry on a daily basis. Just remember to buy a custom S&W M&P Shield 9mm holster for it, or you won’t be able to maximize the carry capabilities of this weapon.
If you do acquire the Taurus G2c, make sure you get a good Taurus G2c holster to go with it. Because the pistol is so inexpensive, you’ll be able to put money down for a well-fitting holster.
Is Taurus a Beretta product?
It’s possible that unsourced material will be questioned and removed. The Taurus PT92 is a double-action/single-action, double-stack magazine fed, short recoil-operated, semi-automatic 9mm pistol made by Taurus in the Beretta plant in So Paulo, Brazil.
Who now owns Smith & Wesson?
Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. (S&W) is a gun manufacturer based in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After their previous company, also called “Smith & Wesson Company” and later renamed “Volcanic Repeating Arms,” was sold to Oliver Winchester and became the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson created the “Smith & Wesson Revolver Company” in 1856. Bangor Punta and Tomkins plc had previously owned Smith & Wesson before being purchased by Saf-T-Hammer Corporation in 2001. From 2016 until 2020, Smith & Wesson was a subsidiary of American Outdoor Brands Corporation, until the firm was split off in 2020.
Smith & Wesson announced plans to relocate its headquarters to Maryville, Tennessee in 2023 on September 30, 2021, citing an unfriendly business climate in Massachusetts.

Glock or Smith & Wesson: which is better?
There are aftermarket trigger shoes for the Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0, and I would definitely acquire one if I were to carry one of these pistols. However, this will increase the overall cost.
Slide Lock
The slide lock choices will vary according on the Glock model. The slide lock on Generation 3 and Generation 4 weapons is exclusively on the left side of the pistol. The gun from Generation 5 is ambidextrous.
The M&P 2.0 from Smith and Wesson is likewise ambidextrous. When comparing slide locks, the Smith and Wesson M&P appears to be slightly better engineered than the Glock, and it appears to be slightly better. However, it is a little more difficult to manipulate than the one on the Glock. However, the Glock comes out on top by roughly ten percent.
M&P 2.0 vs Glock 19 Magazine Release
Both of these firearms have a magazine release that is comparable. They both have a similar reach and can be reached without releasing your grip. Now, one problem about the Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 series that I will mention is that the magazines on my gun do not drop free. I assume it’s partly due to the thinness of the polymer on the grip.
The grip appears to be somewhat too small for the magazine well. It appears to be somewhat small for the magazine, and as a result, the magazines prefer to stick rather than drop free as they should.
This is a significant complaint because it implies you’ll have to rip the magazine from the rifle. You can probably test this at a store to see if it works, but unfortunately, this is the case with my Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0. However, it does not occur in all of them, so this is something you’ll have to look into. As long as I use factory mags, I’ve never had this issue with a Glock.
Magazine Well
If you’re using the Gen 5 series, the magazine well is another advantage for the Glock. The Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 is comparable to the Gen 3, Gen 4. The magwell of the Glocks of Generation 5 is unusually broad and beveled. This is ideal for shooting sports such as USPSA and production divisions.
Reloads are crucial to your overall score in the game since you cannot add an aftermarket magazine well to the rifle. If that’s the case, the Glock will easily defeat the Smith & Wesson M&P. Especially when the Smith and Wesson’s magazines may not drop free.
Is the Taurus a good gun?
Low recoil and excellent balance are two features that make the G2S so user-friendly. This is due in part to its tiny size and weight, but the gun’s overall design also helps. The magazine’s finger-rest extension allows users a stronger grip on the rifle. This, paired with the grip’s texture and practical design, results in improved recoil management.
The Taurus G2S is normally priced between $320 and $350, yet it can be found for as little as $250 on the street. This is a deal when you consider all of the features listed above and compare it to its competitors. Even other Taurus firearms aren’t cheap. You’re getting a gun that can compete with any other 9 mm handgun on the market for a lot less money. As a result, the gun is an excellent choice for your first pistol.
The Taurus G2S is a compact handgun that is also a capable self-defense weapon. Its simple trigger, decent size and weight, comfortable grip texture, and rounded edges all contribute to it being an outstanding concealed carry pistol. It’ll give you a lot of bang for your cash.
