Lion in Latin is called leo (hence the name Leo the Lion). One of the three fire signs in the zodiac is represented by the constellation Leo.

Signs and Qualities of the Zodiac
Four signs make up the zodiac: air, water, fire, and earth. Each sign of the zodiac has three characteristics: cardinal, fixed, and mutable. Leo is regarded as the fire sign’s fixed quality. Leo is thought to inspire passion and inventiveness.
The Time of Leo
The Age of Leo began as the Ice Age came to a close. The ice started to melt as the earth warmed up. At this point, the world would no longer be governed by vast herds of creatures, as was the case with woolly mammoths and saber-tooth tigers. The human race would rule the planet and become the dominant species.
According to legend, the Age of Leo spans the years 10,006 and 8006 BC.
It is often referred to as the Mesolithic era or the Stone Age.
The sun was worshipped at that time because it was when humans first learnt to hunt and harvest crops.
Leo and The Sun
The sun is supposed to preside over Leo. During the time of year when the Nile would flood the land, the sun and the constellation Leo coincide in Egypt. This was significant since the Nile was ancient Egypt’s source of life.
The goddess of fire and vengeance known as Sekhmet was even worshipped by the Egyptians.
She was Ra, the sun god’s daughter.
The Formation of the Leo Constellation
The origin of the constellation Leo is the subject of numerous tales. The myth about Hercules defeating the Nemean Lion is by far the most well-known.
The Nemean Lion and Hercules
A lion once harassed the residents of Nemea, an ancient city outside of Corinth. The lion’s skin was fashioned of pure gold, making it immune to human weaponry.
The Nemean Lion stalked the residents of the town for years.
No hunter from Nemea who attempted to slay the lion was successful. The citizens of Nemea pleaded with Hercules for assistance in their hour of need.
Hercules was on a path of repentance at the time.
It was widely known that Hera detested Hercules.
Who was to blame her?
She gave birth to her husband Zeus’s bastard son Hercules out of wedlock.
Hercules killed his own two children while under the influence of the madness for which she had cursed him.
Hercules’s regret set him on his path of repentance after his sanity was recovered (also known as the twelve labors of Hercules).
Hercules agreed to the Nemean people’s request and went on the hunt for the lion.
He fought the lion after he had cornered it in a cave outside of Nemea, but he was unsuccessful because the lion’s hide was thick.
Hercules charged the lion out of desperation.
He killed the lion by grabbing it by the neck and strangling it.
According to legend, Hera kept the Nemean lion as a pet because it was one of her favorite animals.
She memorialized her love for the golden lion by creating the Leo constellation in the midst of her sadness.
When did the previous Age of Aquarius end?
The Age of Aquarius is claimed to endure roughly 2,160 years, whereas “Aquarius Season” is only 30 days long. What then is the Aquarius Season, and how do the seasons and ages differ? Let’s go back and examine the background of everyone’s favorite water-bearer in both modern astrology and its roots in ancient astronomy before any comprehension begins to dawn.
Aquarian Roots
The Latin root of the term “Aquarius” means “water-carrier, water-pourer.” Its astrological sign, which resembles an electrical shock but represents water, And for good reasonthe forces of uniqueness, eccentricity, independence, extreme expression, and epiphanies of all kinds are connected to us through the sign of Aquarius. It yearns for innovation and points us toward the future and the potential. It can spark innovation, fresh thinking, or thrilling novelty. Our culture’s awakened Aquarius energy inspires technological advances; it’s arguably what gave rise to the Internet. However, Aquarius energy also forces us to think about social justice as a component of the communal and collective experience.
As with all planets and zodiac signs, Aquarius has a dark side as well as exhilaration and forward-thinking momentum. It can be distant, impetuous, aloof, restless, or noncommittal in the case of Aquarius. The energy of Aquarius is known for starting things but not necessarily finishing them. Beware of the infamous Aquarian “Last Unicorn Syndrome,” which makes the sign believe it is the first and only one to have thought of a solution.
Aquarius is typically portrayed as the outcast, lone wolf, or mad scientist. It’s a rebel with a causeand occasionally one without. Although many current astrologers today equate Aquarius with Uranus since at the time Saturn was thought to dominate or govern it, Uranus hadn’t yet been discovered. Some claim that whereas Uranus is the “day ruler,” Saturn is the “night ruler.”
The influence of Aquarius or Uranus in our lives or on how we express ourselves relies on our unique natal astrological chart, which is significant to keep in mind. The Aquarius Season or the Age of Aquarius may have a special meaning for those who have Aquarius as their Sun, Moon, or Rising sign. Although that is an astrology story for another day, having your Sun or Moon in the 11th house or having them touch the planet Uranus can undoubtedly cause you to connect with Aquarian traits. How does the Aquarius Season or the Age of Aquarius affect us if some of us are more “Aquarian” than others? Is it more than simply a “New Age word” or does it represent a body of knowledge?
Historical Context: The “Age of Aquarius
around 1999.
I tend to agree with Susan Miller’s interpretations of the timeline, which place the Age of Aries, marked by intense Greek and Roman warfare, between 2000 B.C.E. and 1 A.C.E. The Age of Pisces, during which many of the world’s main religions emerged, is where it eventually connects. And right now, we’re living in the Age of Aquarius, which is characterized by fast technological developments (like, ahem, the Internet or robotics) or, hopefully, a shift toward community and communal consciousness.
The energies of Aquarius assist us in changing and evolving our structures so that we can enter the new and following stages of our evolution. Activate and enjoy your own Aquarian nature through community, activism, a new creative endeavor, or even by recognizing your weirdness, regardless of whether the Age of Aquarius has begun or is just beginning. Try something new or perhaps finally learn how to use some of your smartphone’s more advanced functions. Whatever your method of triggering and connecting to Aquarius, this is a moment for community building while respecting each person’s individuality.

When was Scorpio’s age?
History does definitely repeat itself, as ordinary astrologers can attest. My extensive research over the past 30 years has revealed incredibly precise connections between the astrological ages and the history of human progress on our planet. I have found an interesting astrological model of history by looking at the tiny “cycles inside cycles” that are contained in each 2160-year era. This article is an abbreviated version of the research I conducted for my book Signs of the Times: The End of the World and the Coming Golden Age. It explains how astrology’s accuracy is supported by history. This model also provides insight into the present as well as prospects for the near and distant future.
The precession of the equinoxes and the backwards wobbling of the earth’s axis via the constellations, which lay in a circle around the world along the ecliptic, the belt of the equator, are the foundations of astrological ages. The wobbling of the earth’s axis, which is marked by the North Pole pointing toward and marking each age or constellation in succession, is used to calculate ages. There are twelve complete ages of 2,160 years each in this wobble, which takes 25,920 years to complete. We are thought to be in the “Age of Pisces” as that marker currently points to the constellation Pisces. As the earth’s axis wobbles in a precessional or backward manner through the zodiac, these eras pass through the astrological signs. History shows that in addition to this movement through the signs, the signs that are directly opposed to the principal signs also have a significant impact on each era’s history.
Within each age, there are additional shorter cycles. There is a cycle of twelve shorter periods, which I refer to as “eras,” each with a duration of 180 years, within each 2160-year age. Additionally, each era is divided into a cycle of twelve periodswhich I refer to as “phases”each lasting 15 years. The zodiac’s eras and phases suggest minor evolutionary cycles within the greater cycle, but for some reason they go forward. Within the same astrological system, it appears that time can move both forward and backward. These shorter timescales allow for a far higher degree of accuracy for dating astrological ages and show that the Western Gregorian calendar is truly in sync with these ages. Since the symbolism of the eras and phases properly corresponds to the time of historical events, the point known as 0 BC is actually an accurate beginning to the Age of Pisces.
A recurrent pattern emerged from my in-depth analysis of historical occurrences since the Age of Cancer. A build-up period or birthing process for the actual age comes before each age. A transition that brings to the fore historical occurrences that take us into the following age happens during the Scorpio Era, roughly 900 to 720 years previous to the conclusion of the age.
There is a cycle of death and rebirth in any Scorpio Age.
Scorpio is the astrological sign that governs authority, dominance, death, and rebirth. The majority of the authority embodied in the institutions and beliefs prevalent in that age pass away, and seeds are sown that birth new perceptions and discoveries that are rooted in the subsequent age. Sagittarius develops into a rapidly growing new perspective after the Scorpio Era. Sagittarius is a fire sign, giving the present the bright character of previous cultural epochs. Due to the fact that Sagittarius oversees vision and exploration, these are Renaissance eras. It “sees” the zeitgeist’s impulse and brings it to life in a cultural renaissance.
Take a quick tour of the last 11,000 years of human history. This study’s first era, the Age of Cancer, starts out with a historically significant bang.
Ageof Cancer: 8640 to 6480 BC
Cancer governs the mother, settled communities, domesticated animals, food, agriculture, and housing.
9000 to 6000 BC is the Neolithic Revolutionary Period. It signaled the beginning of agriculture in several regions of the world, including Southeast Asia, Central America, and Peru. Adzes and other agricultural tools took the place of earlier Palaeolithic and Mesolithic tools. The construction of the first year-round populated towns with permanent housing occurred during this period, which was particularly visible in the Near East’s arid climate. Older Palaeolithic hunters frequently traveled while pursuing herds of prey animals. Creating permanent settlements during a time when goddess worship and matriarchal culture were at their height signified the domestication of man.
Ageof Gemini: 6480 to 4320 BC
Polarization, physical dexterity, trade, travel, reasoning, and language are all ruled by the sign of Gemini.
It was the start of the industrial age. Over fifty diverse craft industries suddenly and dramatically took off in the Near East shortly after 6500 BC. Because of its symbolic decorating, ceramics were of utmost importance to archaeologists. Ceramics were extremely plain at the start of the period, but ornamentation soon included lovely polychrome glazes and abstract motifs. Chinese and Eastern European artisan industries both flourish rapidly by 5000 BC.
Geminiage man started to travel and exchange both goods and concepts. They established a commerce network connecting southern Russia with the Mediterranean Basin. Along with maintaining a vast trade network, the Archaic Culture in the New England region of North America by 4800 BC had expanded west to Yellowstone and south to the Caribbean. At this time, ideas and craft processes were shared more frequently than actual crafts.
The Near East is where the Proto-Indo-European language originated circa 5000 BC. The majority of modern languages throughout the world are thought to have their roots in this language. Strong evidence suggests that the Chinese language’s root was also developed approximately 4800 BC. This age’s technological innovation also had an impact on the development of art. In the beginning, most art was figurative. By 5000 BC, the majority of art was abstract and symbolic and featured shapes like crosses, chevrons, quatrefoils, etc. Later on, these images would play a significant role in mythology and religion as well as in alphabets and written languages.
Ageof Taurus: 4320 to 2160 BC
Taurus is ruled by money and banking, tranquility, comfort, elegance, permanency, and grandiose construction.
The U’Baid civilisation left the source-depleted valley of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers after 4500 BC. They created towns to serve as market hubs, invented banking and money, and as a result, amassed enormous wealth. Gemini’s technological innovation essentially came to an end both here and in Egypt. Incremental increases in income and sophistication were now the main indicator of social advancement. During this period, wealth and money evolved into an archaeological indicator of growth.
Richer people were able to urbanize and create more sophisticated social systems. The city-states of Sumer traditionally date the beginning of civilization to 3200 BC. Around 2900 BC, Old Kingdom Egypt established the first nation-state in human history. Some archaeologists have dated the development of civilization to as early as 4000 BC after observing the rising social complexity of early sites.
Unexpectedly, written language was developed as Taurus consolidated the previous Gemini speaking language into a reliable, permanent record. Writing was first employed in business and religion to record the exchange of wealth and goods. Religion developed and grew more organized, with the bull god of Taurus as its main deity. Religion and the accumulation of wealth were intimately related. The earliest examples of pictographic writing were transactions involving real estate and shopping lists. The pharaoh of Egypt served as the administrator of the temple warehouses, where all of Egypt’s riches was gathered and distributed. The En, Mesopotamia’s spiritual authorities, experienced the same development.
Megalithic tombs were erected all over Europe starting in the year 4000 BC. Older temples were covered over by U’Baid and Sumerian structures, leading to the final creation (about 2900 BC) of enormous mountain-like stepped pyramids known as ziggurats. Beginning in the Old Kingdom era, Egypt began to construct enormous stone pyramids. Recent findings in Peru reveal a civilization with enormous monolithic pyramids that equal those found in the Old World, dating from 3000 to 2600 BC.
Cities were constructed according to a fixed hierarchical layout, with the main temple in the middle and walls facing the four cardinal directions.
This method of construction, together with the addition of a rigid social hierarchy that clearly defined each individual’s position within society, was thought to create permanency on earth by imitating the eternal structure of heaven. Cities transformed into enormous, grandiose towns throughout this process.
This period also displayed the opposite intensity of the Scorpio sign. All modern faiths place a high emphasis on life after death and rebirth in the afterlife. Both Mesopotamia and Egypt’s funeral customs demonstrate a preponderance of thought given to this afterlife. To completely enjoy their life beyond death, rulers were buried in enormous tombs with all of their amassed possessions, including slaves and retainers. The Archaic Culture of the Americas at this time also places a comparable emphasis on this style of burial.
Ageof Aries: 2160 to 0 BC
Aries is the sign that regulates conflict, overcoming obstacles, rivalry, rage, aggression, and independence.
With this new age, the general calmness of the Age of Taurus gave way to massive warfare. Around 2300 BC, Sargon of Akkad founded the first military empire. The Gutians eventually overcame them. Around 2000 BC, the Hurrians exterminated the Sumerians, around 1900 BC, the Old Babylonians took control of Mesopotamia, and around 1600 BC, the Hittites invaded Mesopotamia. Iron weaponry was created by the Hittites, ushering in the Iron Age. Despite the fact that they were vastly superior to bronze weapons, they were unable to avoid their own destruction until it was too late. Around 1800 BC, the Hyksos conquered Egypt, and the list goes on through the Assyrians, the Greeks, Alexander the Great’s globe empire, and the early Roman Empire.
China’s first military dynasty was the militaristic Shang dynasty, which rose to power approximately 1850 BC after subduing the peaceful Lung Shan farmers. When they were at their strongest, they could always field up to 30,000 men. After defeating the Shang in 1122 BC, the Chou dynastyanother militaristic peoplecreated an even more robust military culture, which later disintegrated between 480 and 221 BC into the Warring States Period before the Chin dynasty united China. In the New World, the Olmecs in Mexico, around 1200 BC, were another militaristic people. It appears that the society was non-militaristic about 1200 BC. Helmetswhether for sports or combatare always shown on the monolithic Olmecheads that may be found everywhere. Images of battle and conflict are painted on the sides of the temples in a city that was recently discovered in Peru’s Casmas valley and dates to around 1500 BC.
The Babylonian warrior deity Marduk overcame the older mother goddess Tiamat in a heavenly war for independence, changing religion and creation mythology to hero mythology. Male gods from all around the world challenged the dominant female deities and succeeded in gaining their freedom. The idea of the lone warrior conquering his way to greatness is the foundation of hero stories. Around 2000 BC, there was a global patriarchal movement (referred to by mythologists as a mythic solarization) that marked the transition from a matriarchal to a patriarchal society. In typical Aries form, the masculine sign Aries battled the more mature feminine nature of Taurus. With all the gods and goddesses taking sides in human fights while engaging in conflict and quarreling between themselves, the Greek Olympus religion was at the pinnacle of warrior/hero religions. The Hebrew Old Testament also uses imagery of warriors. God is portrayed as the army’s general, guiding his chosen people to conquer the Promised Land. Although a deity of love (perhaps from the earlier Age of Taurus), he becomes easily enraged and punishes those who disobey him. The Hebrew god appears to be engaged in perpetual conflict with other gods, who are generally referred to as heathen, in a manner akin to the Greeks.
Ageof Pisces: 0 to 2160
Religion and spirituality, transcendence, prophets and predictions, narcotics, delusion, confinement, and terror are all ruled by the sign of Pisces.
This has been the era of the great world religions, including Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism. After the Prophetic Revolution in the eighth and seventh century B.C., Judaism evolved into a global religion. The minor gods Agni and Indra were replaced by Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma as the primary deities in Hinduism. The transcendent ideal of the saint, guru, and sage replaced the warrior-hero ideal of the previous age. The goal of life shifted to being enlightened, going to heaven, escaping the prison of the wheel of life, and vanquishing Satan. The central themes of Judaism and Christianity were prophecy and the coming of the Messiah (inChristianity it is the second coming). Christ, the Son of God, is claimed by Christianity to be their God and the last prophet. Muslim belief holds that Muhammad is the supreme prophet. In the Orient, the goal was to achieve enlightenment, vanquish the Maya (also known as the Pisces illusion), and be freed from the Wheel of Life’s shackles.
These faiths evolved into the first global organizations, disseminating their message beyond all geographic, political, and cultural boundaries. Early European governments grew into theocracies, or religious governments, and Christian concerns dominated politics at this time. Islam was intentionally developed as a system of religious governance with an undercurrent of conquest-based expansion. the center
Christianity in particular has been influenced by the message of prophecy in these religions. In the Age of Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, this message of the end times seems appropriate. God and Satan, Ahura Mazda and Ahriman, or enlightenment and escape from rebirth and the darkness of incarceration on the Wheel of Life, are engaged in a spiritual conflict. A new cycle that ushers in the Aquarius sign’s promise of the golden age will usher in the conclusion of this cosmic conflict.
The characteristics of the upcoming Age of Aquarius, which emphasizes the attributes of genius, science, knowledge, humanitarianism, brotherhood, and boundless possibilities, are hinted at by our own Renaissance tilt toward humanism and science. We are standing on the verge of a breathtakingly beautiful new world. A brief review of the eras inside each age is made possible by our understanding of renaissances.
