Is astrology accurate? Reading horoscopes is a popular pastime, but is there any scientific evidence that they are accurate?
When you’re enticed by a familiar interruption and your willpower weakens, problems can occur.
Every day, up to 70 million Americans consult their horoscopes. At least, that’s what the American Federation of Astrologers claims. According to a Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life poll conducted twenty years ago, 25% of Americans believe that the positions of the stars and planets have an impact on our daily life. In 2012, the General Social Survey indicated that 34% of Americans think astrology is “extremely” or “kind of scientific,” with the percentage of individuals who think astrology is “not at all scientific” dropping from two-thirds to about half.
Astrology is the concept that astronomical phenomena, such as the stars over your head when you were born or the fact that Mercury is retrograde, have the potential to influence our daily lives and personality traits. Of course, this is distinct from astronomy, which is the scientific study of celestial objects, space, and the physics of the cosmos.
A particular facet of astrology, the foretelling of a person’s future or the provision of daily counsel via horoscopes, is gaining in popularity. The Cut, for example, recorded a 150 percent rise in horoscope page views in 2017 compared to 2016.
Clearly, a lot of people are trying to figure out how to read the stars for guidance. Understanding the positions of the stars is the foundation of astrology, which appears to be a scientific discipline in and of itself. Is there any scientific evidence that astrology has an impact on our personalities and lives?

Is the 22nd of October a Libra or a Scorpio?
The sun enters aquatic Scorpio on October 22 or 23, after spending a month in airy Libra. If your birthdate is within a few days of these dates, you may be classified as a Libra-Scorpio cusp.
Being born at one of the sun’s zodiacal ingresses does not automatically make you a combination of two signs. Planets can only be in one zodiac sign at a time, so even if you were born during Libra season’s final hour, you’re still a Libra sun.
That isn’t to say that someone born on the Libra-Scorpio cusp can’t have a healthy dose of both energies in their horoscope. Mercury and Venus are always near to the sun in the zodiac, therefore a Libra born in late October is likely to have some Scorpio planets in their horoscope (or vice versa for an October Scorpio). This could emerge as someone who possesses both Libra and Scorpio features, or what are known as Libra-Scorpio cusp characteristics.
All zodiac signs can feel the shifting energies when the sun transits through this section of the sky, regardless of whether they were born near the Libra-Scorpio cusp or not. As we begin our autumn trip, Libra season always begins on the day of the fall equinox, which aids us in finding balance and forming social ties. However, once the sun enters Scorpio, we tend to become more introspective, and the surface-level connections we had throughout Libra season have the potential to become more intimate and personal. Each planet’s journey through the zodiac depicts a journey, and in the case of the Libra-Scorpio cusp, this energy ushers us into the heart of autumn while asking us to create trust with those around us.
While being a cusp sign isn’t exactly an astrological idea, if you were born near the sun’s movement between the two signs, you can still have a lot of Libra and Scorpio zodiac energy in your chart. If that’s the case, knowing the Libra-Scorpio cusp attributes will help you make sense of your most distinctive characteristics.
Is the 20th of January a Capricorn or an Aquarius?
Every year on the 19th or 20th of January, the sun exits Capricorn and enters Aquarius. If you were born on or around those dates, you may identify as a Capricorn-Aquarius cusp sign or possess Capricorn-Aquarius cusp characteristics.
According to astrology, being born on the first or last days of an astrological season does not give you a combination of the attributes of both zodiac signs. Because planets can only be in one sign at a time, your sun sign is still Capricorn, not a Capricorn-Aquarius hybrid, even if your birthday occurs on the last day of Capricorn season.
While cusp signs are a myth, it’s still feasible that someone born around the Capricorn-Aquarius cusp may connect with the energy of both signs, but this isn’t due to their birthday’s proximity to the sun’s sign shift. The fact that personality-influencing planets like Mercury and Venus travel close to the sun in the zodiac is a far better explanation. As a result, if you’re an Aquarius, you’re likely to have some significant personal planets in Capricorn, and vice versa. Understanding Capricorn-Aquarius cusp features is significant whether you were born on the cusp or not since having Capricorn and Aquarius strongly activated in your birth chart can offer you a blend of qualities from both signs regardless of when your birthday falls.
During the darkest period of the winter season, Capricorn season, which begins on the date of the winter solstice, allows us to buckle down and focus on our tangible goals.
