How To Read Past Life Tarot

Retracing a step

This method of reviewing the past is straightforward but effective. I advise you to conduct this experiment only if you have at least an hour to devote to it; otherwise, you risk rushing through the procedures and missing crucial findings.

Use whichever method you value to ground and center yourself in advance of this reading. Disconnect from other distractions, including televisions, phones, and cell phones. Do everything is necessary to prevent interruptions while working. The experiment can be done anywhere, but you might find it more effective if the lights are dimmed, candles are lit, meditation music is playing, or incense is being burned. You ought to experience safety, strength, and protection.

whichever deck you like, take out the Fool (or its equivalent). Take the card in both hands and concentrate on the artwork after you are comfortably seated on the floor. Be mindful of this. You should identify distracting ideas, tell them, “I’ll deal with you later,” and then turn back to the card.

Your eyes will get tired or your focus will become less sharp with time. Allow your eyes to close at this point, but keep the image of the Fool card in your head. Imagine this picture as a frame from a movie. Ask your “inner projectionist” to play the card’s “movie” backward when you’re ready.

The young man in the example will move slowly in the opposite direction if you are dealing with the RWS Fool. The clouds around him will dissipate toward the horizon in the distance. The rose he is carrying will transform back into a bud. At his feet, a white dog will frolic backwards.

As the Fool fades from view, keep an eye on him in your mind. Allow the card’s image to gradually go black after you can no longer see him.

Open your eyes slowly. Shuffle the deck after replacing the Fool. Deal eight cards in an upright column, three above, two crossed in the middle, and three below, starting at the top.

  • Your gender is on Card 1. This card contains hints as to your gender in a previous life. Don’t become fixated on the character’s apparent gender in the illustration. While this might be a sign of your former gender, the more crucial inquiry is: Which gender do you think the card metaphorically denotes?
  • Your Family is on Card 2. This card reveals a significant detail about the family you were born into. The Ten of Cups may allude to a big, joyful, and loving setting. The Justice card can represent a rigid, regimented home where obedience to the rules was valued above personal freedom. The Eight of Cups can be interpreted as anything from “an absent parent” to “life as an only kid,” and it may indicate that there was something missing from your home setting.
  • Identity/personality Card No. 3 This card sheds light on your fundamental self in this prior existence. In this position, a Major denotes a habit, idea, or worldview that predominated this existence. (The Lovers, for instance, would suggest that you spent this lifetime frantically looking for a soulmate… or that forming love relationships was something you always found difficult.
  • Cards 4 and 5: Serious Situation. These cards represent a “Kodak moment,” if you will, of a crucial circumstance that occurred in a former life. The two cards stand for two energy, forces, or individuals whose interactions resulted in a crescendo of dimensions that changed lives. If you come across the Eight of Wands and the Four of Coins, you might conclude that your former self had a sudden epiphany (the Eight of Wands) that inspired him to stockpile food and money (the Four of Coins) in anticipation of an impending catastrophe.
  • Sixth card: Reaction. This card symbolizes the crucial response you provided to the emergency denoted by cards Four and Five. The Devil in this position may represent that the individual from your previous example hoarded his supplies for himself; but, the Six of Coins may indicate that by liberally giving his resources, he won the hearts of others.
  • Seventh card: Life lesson. This card represents the lesson you learned while you were alive. You may anticipate that this card will at least partially refer to the crisis depicted in cards Four and Five and the solution represented by card Six. The Tower in this position, for instance, can imply that you were taught to break free from the prison of obnoxious self-interest as a result of being inspired to aid others.
  • Eighth card: Impact on your current life. This card will indicate how your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and decisions today are influenced by the existence portrayed in this spread. The King of Swords in this position could imply that your calm management of a crisis in a previous life equipped you to lead in this one. The Two of Wands, on the other hand, can imply that self-doubt carried over from a former incarnation is the cause of one’s present-day incapacity to persevere with a course of action.

Understanding a prior life is one thing; understanding how to apply this knowledge to promote growth and transformation is another.

As soon as you have truly let yourself to be open to the disclosures of this reading, gather all the cards, rearrange them, and then draw three brand-new cards, arranging them in a straight line.

  • Card 1: Respecting the Past. This card offers an action you may take right now to show gratitude for the work you did in the past. The Star card may inspire you to create a libationa little offering of wine or water, poured down over an altar of small stonesin recognition of a past self, while the Four of Swords may inspire you to pray for the person you were.
  • Card 2 reads, “Using Wisdom.” This card offers a suggestion on how you might utilize your past life experiences in the present. Drawing the Eight of Coins can inspire you to learn a craft you could use to increase your current income, for instance, if you learn that you once had success as an artisan.
  • Card #3: Looking Ahead. Although connecting with past lifetimes might be exhilarating, your current existence also has lessons to impart. This card, which provides a glimpse into your current life’s agenda, will likely indicate a current issue that needs your attention. (For instance, drawing the Hierophant can inspire you to set aside more time for intentional spiritual practice.) You’ll feel both satisfied and enlightened when you consider how this card adds to or expands upon your previous life experience.
  • Spend some time investigating the conclusions this reading has suggested. Expect subtle connections between the cards to emerge. Writing a paragraph or two on each card in a diary entry is a helpful approach to expand and retain the knowledge you learn from this practice.
  • Want to learn more about a certain former life you’ve seen glimpses of? Draw random cards to “fill in the holes” and finish the picture; select deliberate cards to symbolize what you do know.
  • You can always add commentary cardsadditional cards pulled to accentuate or enrich the meaning of the original cardto your insights if some cards continue to be enigmatic or if you are unsure about the information you receive. Commentary cards should be placed to the right of the cards they change; doing so will “extend” the story and provide you a peek of new information.
  • Even if you do not currently believe in reincarnation, this spread can still offer you a lot of useful information. Consider reading the former life you “generated” using the cards as though it were a symbolic dream. What lessons from your “past-life experience” might apply to your present life?

In tarot cards, what is past life?

Eight cards are chosen for a former life tarot card reading. The reader arranges them in an upside-down pyramid of three lines, counting four, three, and one. Each card is interpreted as if the components it reveals are part of the person’s former existence and can be projected onto the present.

Can you perform a self-Tarot reading?

Is it feasible for a beginner to perform Tarot spreads on themselves? Yes! It most certainly is. Tarot is a technique that aids in deepening our understanding of the present moment, honoring our intuition, and predicting future possibilities.

What is my regressive memory?

PLEASE NOTE: UNTIL MID-NOVEMBER 2022, WHEN OUR CRAZY TOURING SEASON IS OVER, I CAN NOT OFFER ANY PAST LIFE REGRESSION SESSIONS.

In a gentle form of hypnotherapy called past life regression, memories and experiences that are typically buried in the subconscious mind are accessed to transport a person back in time to their prior lives or incarnations. These memories are frequently hidden beneath the noise of daily thinking because life is so hectic and “noisy” today. It is much simpler to find the memories stored in your subconscious mind when you are in a deeply quiet and serene condition, which is what a PLR session helps you achieve.

Using past life regression, you can:

  • Reconnect with memories of the past.
  • help you comprehend why you have a strong affinity to particular locations.
  • Examine your current and past-life soulmate experiences.
  • Identify any physical conditions you may have that may be a result of previous events.
  • Examine any unresolved feelings that have persisted into this lifetime and led to concerns or beliefs that you have been unable to rationalize.
  • Recognize and appreciate the most important life lessons those people taught you.

To give you a taste of what a Past Life Regression session with me would be like, I’ve included a 20-minute Relaxation Hypnotherapy tape below. This tape does not involve past life regression; instead, I will gently lead you on a serene journey to help you calm your mind, unwind, and rediscover your true self.

You are more than welcome to listen whenever you like. There is no need for an email address, and it is free. Please feel free to distribute it to anyone you believe could need a little downtime to unwind and re-connect.

What kind of religion are tarot cards?

Tarot cards also include four suits, but they are different depending on the region: French suits are found in Northern Europe, Latin suits are found in Southern Europe, and German suits are found in Central Europe. Each suit contains 14 cards: four face cards (King, Queen, Knight, and Jack/Knave/Page) and ten pip cards, numbered from one (or Ace) to ten. In addition, the tarot features a unique 21-card trump suit and a solitary card known as the Fool; this 22-card group of cards is referred to as the Major Arcana in the world of divination. The Fool may serve as the top trump or alternatively may be played to avoid doing so, depending on the game. In parts of Europe, these tarot cards are still used to play traditional card games without any occult connotations.

Tarot cards are mostly employed for amusement and divination in English-speaking nations where these activities are less popular, typically with the aid of specially created packs. Although academic research has shown that tarot cards were partially invented in northern Italy in the 15th century (16 of the modern 22 Major Arcana cards) and combined with a deck of four suits, “the Mamluk deck,” some people who use tarot for cartomancy believe the cards have esoteric links to ancient Egypt, Iran, the Kabbalah, Indian Tantra, or the I Ching. The Mamluk deck of cards was created in or before the 14th century and arrived in Western Europe after paper was produced in Asia (see Playing Card – Egypt and following sections). By the end of the thirteenth century, Europeans were making the Mamluk deck with customized “court cards” and suit symbols.

Although some people think that tarot cards were not used for divination until the late 18th century, there is evidence of an early tarot deck that was “used in divination to determine the querent’s prospects in love” (Fernando de la Torre’s “Juego de Naypes” deck of Spain, 1450), each card having an image and verse.

How are Tarot cards charged?

Leave your deck in a sacred location where you can “knead (shuffle) it each hour, giving it your magical power with your hands, for one waking day, much as you would a loaf of rising bread.” The greatest time to use this charge is when you’re taking a day off at home or in a retreat.

After a breakup

Draw one card for each of the following inquiries if you’ve recently broken up with someone and want to know more about the reason or determine whether you’ll get back together:

  • How energetic is the partnership right now?
  • What caused the divide in the first place?
  • What do they really think of me right now?
  • What do they intend for me right now?
  • What kind of relationship will this be in the future?
  • Which action is ideal for me to take right now?

When job searching

You can use this spread to explore what kind of career guidance the tarot can offer if you’re feeling uncertain about your career path or thinking about a new employment. Draw one card once more for each query.

  • How active am I in my career right now?
  • What challenge must I overcome?
  • What is my calling in life?
  • How can I follow this calling more closely?
  • What should I do to prepare for the upcoming month?

When deciding between two options

This spread can highlight the benefits and drawbacks of each option, guiding you toward the best decision if you’re using tarot to pick between two possibilities (two job offers, two apartments, perhaps a love triangle???). Getting the deal Per card, ask one question.

  • What is the fundamental cause of this fork in the road?
  • What is the likely result of choosing option A?
  • What is the most likely result for option B?
  • What more should I take into account that was overlooked?
  • What’s the best thing I can do right now?

When something is off with a friend

If you’re concerned about the state of a friendship or feel like something is wrong but are unable to pinpoint the cause, you might be interested in seeing what conclusions and solutions this spread offers. Ask one question per card, once more, I repeat.

  • What makes this friendship so crucial?
  • What led to this sudden change in tone, and why?
  • What has changed, in my friend’s opinion?
  • What can I do to make this matter more urgent?
  • What is the future of this friendship?
  • What should I do at this moment?

Tarot reading is possible during periods.

You would expect that by the year 2020, society will have overcome long-standing taboos and become more educated. In offices, medical facilities, schools, and colleges, we surveyed a number of young ladies. But little appears to have changed. These are some things that women are still told today.

1. If you’re a woman and angry, you must be having a period.

2. If you’re a woman in pain, you must be having your period.

3. If you’re a woman and you’re walking funny, you must be having a period.

4. Even at home, when on your period, you should have a separate room, dishes, and restrictions.

5. Consuming cold food or beverages can stop your flow.

6. You are unable to exercise, visit a place of worship, or swim when you are menstruating.

7. Avoid cooking, hair-washing, and handling dairy products or pickles when you’re menstruating.

8. Women often utilize the excuse of PMS to escape uncomfortable circumstances.

9. Tarot readings are not permitted during times.

10. Women are more susceptible to supernatural beings and are more easily possessed during their periods.

11. Periods for women are voluntary and controllable. Because they enjoy the drama and the days off, they have them every month.

We’re sure you’ve found many of them to be gratingly familiar if you’re a woman. But if, like us, you’ve rolled your eyes till you thought they might pop out of your head, pause and consider why.

Why is it that despite enormous scientific advancement, a wealth of data, and the Internet, we still don’t fully comprehend how a woman’s body functions physiologically? Modern, educated women may not wish to have children or be held captive by these misconceptions and lies about menstruation. However, the majority are helpless against ignorance, a lack of appropriate education, and ignorance.

The way that our friends, coworkers, family members, and neighbors think is mostly a result of what they were taught as children. If having periods were accepted as normal rather than taboo, don’t you think we would be having a different kind of conversation, whether you live in a city, small town, or village?

With the knowledge that there is nothing “impure about menstruation,” young women are not empowered. The need for education and understanding on this subject across cultural and economic boundaries has never been greater. Young girls need to learn how to handle their changing bodies and be ready for them. Girls can stay in school and working adult women, even in more disadvantaged places, can aid them to stay gainfully employed throughout the entire year through education, the introduction of sanitary napkins, and sufficient water and toilet facilities.

However, change won’t happen until there is a movement that holds the view that all women’s lives can be improved with a single switch. Instead of outdated stereotypes that are unfounded in reality, girls and women of all ages need to start receiving fresh messages. While women in urban areas now frequently use sanitary pads, tampons, or menstrual cups, two-thirds of adolescent girls in rural areas frequently have no idea what is happening to them when they first start having periods. When and how should they be informed?

when they are young and during academic coursework. The language used in period-related interactions should sound more like this while they are still in school and developing:

We should be more cognizant of our flow, menstrual patterns, and the potential for infections during our periods. However, it doesn’t weaken you.

Purchasing sanitary napkins is not any more embarrassing than purchasing toothpaste or soap for oneself.

It’s not necessary to hide and discard used sanitary towels while no one is looking.

Comparatively speaking, using sanitary napkins can reduce your risk of developing cervical cancer compared to women who use rags or unclean cotton wads.

Cheaper does not always equate to better. Look for goods and businesses that are making an effort to demonstrate their dedication to timely menstrual hygiene education (especially post COVID).

Whisper has been leading the effort for the past three decades, teaching 45 lakh girls in 40,000+ schools about menstrual health and giving away free sanitary pads. Not only have they taken on period taboos head-on, but they have also educated and empowered women to become change agents at the most fundamental levels and earn a living by selling sanitary products. This ought to be the legacy we leave for future female generations. We need to picture a society in which periods are not taboo and where people aren’t scared to talk about them, share information, and work to make the world a better and safer place for all.

Questions you don’t really want answered

Even though it might seem apparent, it’s advisable to refrain from asking the tarot cards questions that you aren’t prepared to hear the answers to. That’s because answers to these questions can reveal information you’re just not quite ready to hear.

“Tarot can definitely come off as offensive if you’re not willing to hear the truth or consider an opposing opinion. Tarot reading Nicole Fortunaso

According to tarot reader and life coach Nicole Fortunaso, “tarot may truly come out as offensive if you are not willing to hear the truth of the problem or look at an alternate viewpoint.” She advises analyzing why you’re reacting the way you are in order to reflect on how to effectively address the underlying problem if you ask the question and aren’t satisfied with the response.

You *Just* Had a Tarot Reading

Unless the reading is about a completely new and specific subject, I suggest waiting at least three months between professional tarot readings. Before returning to the cards, let things to develop and alter.

You Want a Redo

I frequently observe people attempting to “chase the right answer.” People will visit several tarot readers or ask the same question repeatedly to the same tarot reading until they receive the response they desire (which, by the law of averages, does happen eventually). This is basically useless!

Your Question Is About Someone Else

Tarot readings are not the solution if your entire line of inquiry is about another person’s thoughts and actions (such as what your ex is up to). Tarot is meant to help you gain understanding of *yourself,* not other people. (A better option would be to reconsider and rephrase your query as if you were looking for help on how to move past your split.)
