You’ve now got your very own Tarot deck! Yay, but what comes next?

The good news is that everyone may use Tarot as a tool in their daily lives; you don’t need to be a psychic, gypsy, or Tarot card master. Anyone who has an open mind, an inquiring heart, and access to Google (or a tarot deck handbook) can discover direction and confidence in the cards. Here is a practical method to use your tarot deck every day to help you access your power:

One of my favorite methods of using my deck is this one. Each of us faces challenges in life that, at times, seem completely overpowering. Those are the times when we feel as though we are being tugged in a hundred different ways at once, and we are also paralyzed by uncertainty and doubt. In these situations, accepting the insight my cards offer has led to meaningful counsel and life-altering breakthroughs for me.

One of the simplest spreads is the Past-Present-Future spread. As the name implies, it can provide excellent insight to assist comprehend how the past influences present circumstances, what’s happening right now, and how the decisions you make now may affect how the future plays out.

I advise you to start by putting yourself in a good attitude.

Whatever makes you feel as cozy and at ease as possible should be done, including lighting candles, playing soothing music, and pouring a glass of wine. Take the next step to connect to yourself and your energy on a deeper level once you feel present and “at home.” Try making a circle, burning some sage, adding crystals, praying, or journaling. Whatever your religious or spiritual beliefs, or even if you have none at all, the most important thing is to tune into YOU.

Hold your cards in your hands and shuffle them as you consider your current situation. Ask any particular questions you may have right away. I personally like allowing broad guidance and clarity to guide me through my journey, but if you have a pressing inquiry, ask it! …you decide what happens next. In order to help me evolve for the greater good, in perfect Love and perfect Light, I choose to ask: “My Higher Self, Spirit Guides, Guardian Angels, and Light the Universe, please give me wisdom and understanding. I understand that we all have unique methods of communicating the same message, so feel free to express your goal anyway you prefer while still protecting your energy. Please leave a remark or get in touch if you have any queries regarding this.

Focus on your breathing, calm yourself, clear your head, and shuffle the cards one last time. Spread the cards out in front of you, and keep your breathing in mind. As you choose three cards and arrange them face down in front of you, left to right, let your intuition serve as your guidance. The first one stands for the earlier times, the second for the present, and the third for the future.

When every card has been chosen and laid face down from left to right, start by turning over the card to its leftthe previous card. At this point, you can use Google or your tarot card handbook. Check the card symbolizing the past’s meaning. Consider events from your past that are connected to the card’s meaning and energy. It could stand for feelings, people, or things that happened in the past but still have an impact on your present. Are these energies promoting your growth or preventing it right now? What lessons do you need to take away from this experience? As you will be considering the significance of each card and how they relate to one another throughout the reading, it can be good to write down your views.

The center card, the present, is then turned over. This card will symbolize your current situation, mental condition, and the energy of the moment. Research the significance of the cards once more using your preferred reference. Consider how you relate to this card and how it might be illuminating your current situation. See any similarities between this card and the previous card? What guidance do you believe the previous card is giving you to effectively address the present circumstance as it is shown in the reading? The present card may indicate opportunities or challenges you are now facing.

Flip the final card, the future card, when you’re ready, and do your investigation. This card is more of a prospective outcome indicator than it is a prediction of the future. It can also give you insight into your goals and the way things currently appear to be moving. This card may occasionally be seen as a forewarning of undesirable results that are likely to occur if things continue in their current direction. It is crucial to give the cards’ counsel serious consideration in this situation. You can find yourself on a clearer road right away by altering your attitude or actions in the here and now.

Spend a few seconds going through your notes and considering the entire book. Look for patterns in the cards’ meanings, relationships to one another, and other characteristics. Consider the whole message and its importance when you understand it. Consider the overall message. How does the reading shed light on and direct your knowledge in response to a specific issue you may have posed? Readings can leave you with fresh questions or with conflicting ideas about how to apply the guidance. I ask my inquiry in this case, reshuffle the existing cards, spread them out once again, and then choose a new card. In order to maintain focus on the reading’s original message, I try to keep my follow-up inquiries to a maximum of three. It’s critical to trust your instincts and keep in mind that there is no “correct analysis.” You’re on the right track if your interpretation results in a greater sense of clarity and comprehension, along with a dash of confidence.

Take three long, cleansing breaths once you’ve completed reading and reflecting so that the knowledge you’ve gained can sink in. I like to finish my practice by giving thanks for the advice I’ve gotten and stating my wishes for the future, after which I put my playing cards away and proceed with my plans.

  • It’s time to shuffle once you have the question in your head.
  • Pull your card(s) (s).
  • Lay your chosen card or cards in your spread face down after making your selection.

How do you perform a three-card tarot reading?

  • Choose a Tarot deck in step one.
  • Find a Quiet, Remote Area in Step 2.
  • Focus on a Question or Intention in Step 3.
  • Step 4: Reshuffle the cards.
  • Divide your deck into three equal stacks in step five.
  • Step 6: Turn your cards over.
  • Examine your cards in Step 7.
  • Get a sense of your cards in Step 8.

In a tarot reading, what is the recent past?

The miniature cross is to the left of the “last previous position

This is a sign that something is changing or that recent events are starting to lose their impact.

That doesn’t imply that these things, whether good or negative, don’t still matter.

Although they could be fading into the background, their impression still exists, albeit weakly, in contrast to the card at the bottom (the past).

In other words, this demonstrates what is departing while also suggesting potential takeaways. What are you leaving behind or taking forward?

Let’s examine a case in point.

We have the Two of Swords crossed by Strength and the Tower in the Past position using the cards from the last lesson on the Past position.

The reversed Three of Swords would depict someone who had recently started the healing process after going through a significant upheaval, such as a divorce.

Despite the sluggish mending process, they are getting stronger every day. They might even reflect on the past and understand that the divorce was required.

But what if the Three of Cups represented the Recent Past? That may indicate that recently a new person entered the picture and caused a significant deal of disruption in the querent’s life. They are currently trying to choose between two partners. Making a choice won’t be simple because perhaps both partners contribute something to the questioner’s life. There will be much thinking involved in this.

Once more, the Tower is important since it indicates a significant change has occurred and that card from the recent past gives you an indication of how this is developing.

What if the queries were made by the respondent? “What are you leaving behind and what are you taking forward?

In the first case, they can claim that they are ending the relationship and welcoming a fresh start.

The person being questioned in the second case might realize that their new relationship has served as a wake-up call or trigger for them to consider whether they are truly happy with the other person.

How are tarot cards shuffled?

This shuffling method, which is frequently used before regular card games, is merely holding the full deck in one hand and releasing a section of cards into the other hand at a time until the entire deck has been spread and mixed.

What should you do initially while using a Tarot deck?

What to Do First:

  • Get out your tarot deck.
  • The cards are in your hand.
  • “Knock or tap the pile of cards numerous times while holding them in your palm to disseminate your energy throughout the deck.
  • Shuffle the cards completely.
  • The cards are divided into three heaps, which are subsequently reassembled into one pile.

How are tarot cards purified?

Here are four simple steps to purifying tarot cards.

  • Meditate. Simply unwind for a moment and get rid of all your thoughts.
  • Pass each card through the smoke after burning sage.
  • Place bay leaves within the deck of cards.
  • And for protection, place a crystal on top.

Do you deal tarot cards face up?

Because the left side is connected to intuitive and receptive energy, traditional tarot readers used their left hand to shuffle the cards. For similar reasons, some people think you should deal and shuffle tarot cards with your nondominant hand. I’ve never done this, though, because I can’t shuffle with one hand!

Apparently, it takes seven precise shuffles to get a completely random tarot deck, although in all honesty, you don’t have to follow that rule. As they focus on their query, some people prefer to shuffle their tarot deck a few times, while others prefer to shuffle for at least a minute. Use a non-traditional shuffling technique if it works for you. The most crucial step is to simply shuffle the cards.

What does the tarot signify for you?

Position 5, labeled “potential outcome,” is located at the top of the mini-cross.

This card represents potential future events, potential future developments, or potential futures.

This role is described as “what crowns you” in some publications.

Based on the moment of the reading, I frequently interpret this card as the location you will most likely end up.

Therefore, if a card like the Three of Swords appears there, the inquirer might be in for disappointment or loss.

I can see what is setting up that possibility by going back and looking at the first two cards. If the Three of Cups represented the past and the Devil reversed represented the recent past, this would suggest that the querent may have met a new person, started an extramarital relationship, and is now considering ending their marriage. Or you may read this as a fun-at-first romance that went horribly wrong and is most certainly going to an end.

Always keep an eye on the previous cards since they provide information about how the story is developing and what factors led to this “potential result.”

The question, “What about that outcome card then?” may come to mind.

Why bother with an outcome card if this demonstrates the possibilities?

These two, in my perspective, support one another, and I frequently see them as a triad with the card in position 6.

However, we’re moving on already.

I’ll be demonstrating a variety of card pairing techniques as well as what to do when we encounter contradictions as we move forward with these classes.

Let’s just use this card by itself for the time being.

The Two of Swords is crossed by Strength and the Tower in the past position, and the Three of Swords is reversed in the recent past in our last lesson on the recent past position.

If we position the Sun in the Possible Outcome position, what might happen?

That could indicate that the person asking the question has through a very trying change in their life that requires a lot of inner work and healing. They are currently overcoming the difficulty and making progress toward a nicer period. This demonstrates the client’s strength and that the decisions they are making will result in a better, more fruitful chapter. even a rebirth

This could be seen as the client becoming more grounded and solid after adversity, like the King of Pentacles.

They may have grown up and developed a sense of what matters most as a result of the change.

Or it can be a sign that a helpful person will soon enter their lives, someone who will have a stabilizing and positive influence on them.
