Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) is receiving a few used goods from Ben (Josh Dallas) at the Stone residence that she can use in her apartment. Although she is sympathetic to Courtney’s story and wants to help her leave her apartment, Michaela informs Ben that Zeke and Courtney were never officially married.
When Adrian (Jared Grimes) cautions Olive that her father was insistent about her not being a member of The Believers, T.J. (Garrett Wareing) and Olive (Luna Blaise) are getting to know each other better. He is compelled to follow her father’s instructions because she is a juvenile. Since other Believers might lose faith, Isaiah wonders the decision to kick Olive out. But Adrian promises him that a greater miracle will persuade them.
Grace (Athena Karkanis) informs Ben that a reporter from a magazine contacted asking to conduct an interview about her pregnancy and the fact that it will be the first birth from a passenger of Flight 828 back at the Stone home. Ben and Grace decide to cancel the interview and are even angry that the journalist was aware of the pregnancy. Ben then sees Saanvi on the plane, hearing him call to her, before she vanishes. While on his way to check on Saanvi, he texts Michaela.
When Ben and Michaela arrive to Saanvi’s workplace, they discover her unconscious on the floor. She is taken to the hospital, where they await word on her condition.
Ben learns that Saanvi will be alright from the doctor as Michaela receives a text and informs him she has to leave. She was fortunate that they discovered her at that time, though.
When it becomes apparent that Saanvi is well, Ben expresses his disappointment that she experimented on herself and reminds her that if she dies, none of the passengers can be saved. She agrees after he asks her to pledge not to try it again. Saanvi goes on to explain to Ben that they both had a calling, but in hers, it was to assist a small child who was terrified. Ben responds that a guy called Finn, not a youngster, was seated in that seat on 828 when she provides him the seat number the boy was in when he made the call. The best course of action, he believes, is to speak with the man and discover their relationship.
T.J. and Olive make an effort to decipher the Tarot card’s meaning and make the decision to try and locate the Tarot reader who handed Olive the card three years prior. Olive and T.J. flirt a little as they search for her.
When Ben locates the Finn from Wall Street, he claims not to have a son. He admits to Ben that he ended up having a one-night stand in Jamaica. Ben discovers a picture of Finn as a child as they converse. The child in the picture resembles the child in the calling exactly.
Michaela finds Courtney battered when she gets home. She admits to Michaela and Zeke that she owes Lucas, a drug dealer, $20,000 in debt. He dispatched several thugs to warn her that she is now working for him till she makes restitution.
After returning to the hospital, Ben informs Saanvi about Finn and the picture. He believes that the child born from Finn’s one-night stand is the one who will fulfill their destiny. Saanvi concurs and joins Ben in his search for the mother.
Olive and T.J. uncover clues that take them to the tale of a 16th-century scholar who vanished at sea and came back ten years later claiming to hear God’s voice in his mind. Olive speculates that he might have passed away 10 years after he returned, although they have been unable to locate any records of his passing. This can serve as evidence that the death date is accurate and that the calling has actually occurred previously.
When Ben and Saanvi find the lady Finn was with, she admits to having been married while living in Jamaica and revealing that her husband is the father of her son Theo, who resembles Finn.

Lucas claims he doesn’t know Michaela and orders her to inject heroin to show she’s not a police officer. Zeke and Michaela get into an argument over how Lucas is a jerk and overcharging them. When one of his thugs identifies Michaela as a cop, Lucas is willing to make the deal only to get rid of them. Zeke tackles Lucas as he attempts to grab a gun. When Drea enters the room with her gun pulled, she orders everyone to stop moving.
The encounter between Finn and his son Theo was arranged by Ben and Saanvi. Saanvi receives another call during the brief visit and observes Theo’s eye rings there. She understands the boy’s liver will stop functioning. Saanvi urges the woman to take the child immediately to the hospital and stresses the urgency. Finn offers to donate a portion of his liver to Theo after discovering that they are a perfect match at the hospital.
When Jared runs into Tamara’s brother, he is instructed to leave and avoid his sister. He seemed to have done some research and found out Jared was formerly engaged to Michaela, an 828 passenger. Jared reveals to Tamara’s brother that Michaela changed when she returned, ruining his life. The mole inside the police department, Jared, is revealed to be Tamara’s brother, who then unwinds and offers to buy him a drink.
Ben discovers Olive and T.J.’s studies at the Stone residence and expresses his admiration to her. She seeks permission to go meet up with T.J. after explaining that he uncovered something else. Ben affirms. Later, Grace recommends to Ben that they conduct the magazine interview while fabricating Danny’s pregnancy in order to shield the child from those who despise and dread the 828 passengers. Ben says Grace he will safeguard his child and expresses disbelief and displeasure at her suggestion.
When Zeke and Michaela get home, they discover Courtney has gone. Zeke claims that his debt to her has been settled and that she is now on her own.
Olive and T.J. go on a small picnic together, and they continue to flirt and then kiss.
