To begin, you’ll need all of your birth information if you’re intending to teach yourself astrology.
This information contains your birth time (within a half-hour), city, state, and date.
The exact time is usually the most crucial, and it’s wise to double-check it on your birth certificate because a parent’s memory can be inaccurate.
You may go to any number of websites with your birth information, but my personal favorites are Astrodienst and Cafe Astrology, both of which give a free astrology chart.
Your birth chart will look something like this, regardless of the website you select. Because I’ve used my chart as an example, the right-hand column, named signs, is unique to it.
When you look at your own chart, you’ll notice that the right hand column contains several signs, which you’ll need to study up to properly comprehend your own chart.
Remember that this is only a guide to help you comprehend your chart, not a specific reading.
