The Latin term for “fishes” is “pisces.” The two fish first appeared on an Egyptian coffin lid around 2300 BC, making it one of the oldest zodiac signs known.
Pisces depicts the fish, sometimes portrayed by a shark, into which Aphrodite (also known as Venus) and her son Eros (also known as Cupid) turned in order to flee the demon Typhon, according to one Greek tale. Gaia had sent Typhon, the “father of all monsters,” to attack the gods, prompting Pan to warn the others before transforming into a goat-fish and diving into the Euphrates. In Manilius’ five-volume lyrical work Astronomica, a similar narrative, in which the fish “Pisces” save Aphrodite and her son from danger, is retold: “Venus ow’d her safety to their Shape.” Another urban legend claims that an egg landed in the Euphrates River. The fish then rolled it to the shore. Doves sat on the egg until it hatched, and Aphrodite emerged. Aphrodite threw the fish into the starry sky as a gesture of thanks to the fish. The constellation Pisces was also known as “Venus et Cupido,” “Venus Syria with Cupidine,” “Venus cum Adone,” “Dione,” and “Veneris Mater,” the latter being the formal Latin name for mother, due to these traditions.
The Greek myth of Pisces’ genesis has been highlighted by English astrologer Richard James Morrison as an example of myths that emerged from the original astrological teaching, and that the “original aim ofwas thereafter distorted both by poets and priests.”

What are the zodiac signs’ ages?
Hello, lovely individuals! Are you ready for a little Chart Harmony with The Astrologer’s Daughter? Yay!
Yes, indeed, baby! Each zodiac sign has an age range linked with it, and we’re going to lay it all out right now. Let’s start with Aries and work our way through the zodiac, sign by sign, to grasp the spiritual age.
Aries: 17 – this is the time of year when everything is brand fresh. Have you ever watched a puppy for the first time discover EVERYTHING? Welcome to the Aries’ impetuous, exuberant, no-emotion-left-unspoken childhood joy. Lack of familiarity with something does not imply a lack of confidence in trying something new! Isn’t that how we learn?
Taurus: 7-14 when all I own is mine. Consider the adolescent who must learn to share after finally declaring what is vital to them to keep in the first place. This is how Taurus feels. Pleasures of the earth. Material goods are acquired. Sharing takes time.
1421 Gemini: When I do what I want, when I want. Isn’t this when people truly declare their individuality? It’s time to take a stand. It’s time to show up in the world in whichever way seems appropriate to you. It’s okay to doubt yourself at first, but you’ll eventually find yourself. It’s time to find your voice and use it. Gemini, Gemini, Gemini, Gemini, Gemini, Gemini, Gemini, Gemini
Cancer: 2128 when I discover my true self. Age 28 Epiphany, you’ve arrived just in time. Cancers are all about finding their place in the world, choosing loyalties (maybe abandoning biological family in favor of a new family), and feeling comfortable in their own skin (or shell).
Leo: 2835 years old when I don’t care what you think of me. It’s all about you after the Age 28 Epiphany “For the Leo mood, “take it or leave it.” “I’m who I’m who I’m who I’m who I’m who I’m who I’ There’s no denying what feels wonderful in the way Leos express themselves, and they make no apologies for it.
Virgo: 3542 when responsibility takes precedence over impulse. The Virgo is delighted to show up every day to perform the detail work required to create stability in life, just like the worker bee who knows it’s time to make adult choices, plan for the future, and provide for the family.
When partnership reigns supreme in Libra, it is between the ages of 42 and 49. At this age, you realize that you’re stronger together than you are alone. Enough to realize that pairing isn’t a sacrifice. Libra enjoys a good +1 and isn’t as concerned with the glitz and glam that younger signs crave in a relationship.
When the midlife crisis strikes, Scorpio is between the ages of 49 and 56. Scorpios may feel impotent in the face of life’s larger picture. They understand that time is a figment of their imagination, and they seek simple, unadulterated pleasure to help them cope with the stress of their existential crisis.
Sagittarius: 5663 when you can see the larger picture. You know how it feels when you’re creating value for the larger good? In the cosmic age range, that’s Sag. There’s something bigger than all of this… and Sag invests in it because he knows it’s bigger than the present.
When Capricorn is between the ages of 63 and 70, it is a time when both building and appreciating are equally important. There’s no use in making all that great things if we can’t take a step back and appreciate what we’ve accomplished. The Capricorn, eager to put in the effort, will set an example for the rest of the globe in terms of how to love what they’ve created.
When the chill reaches a new level, Aquarius is between the ages of 70 and 77. The Aquarius, detached yet invested, intelligent yet whimsical, wise yet childlike, knows what it’s like to sit alone on a hill and has no qualms about doing so… in front of an audience or not.
Pisces: 7784 when the physical form isn’t important. Any Pisces would tell you that they prefer to spend their time in a parallel reality that they have built. One of a number of options. They’re going to futures that don’t exist and pasts that didn’t happen. For our oldest sign, dreams are a given… because why would they be otherwise?
Finally, there’s a fundamental overlay to all of this in terms of OUR age and the tone of the direction we’re taking. We’re in water in the womb and during childhood. We’re in the air from infancy till our early twenties. We’re on Earth from the mid-twenties to the mid-sixties. We’re on fire from 60 onwards!
Oh wonderful one, how does this chronology fit into your life? If you’re a member of my Aligned Advantage subscription, we can continue to talk about this in our weekly Zoom. And, of course, in the comments section below.
As always, I hope you’ll stay in touch, share your new connection with time, and, most importantly, continue to invest in your relationship with yourself! You’re causing so many wonderful things to happen, and it’s so much fun to watch!
Is Capricorn the zodiac’s oldest sign?
This is a sign that can have it all and enjoys having it, but despises losing it, much like a youngster with a favorite toy. Refusing to share has a bratty selfishness to it, but it also has a love and tenderness to it, as well as a total loyalty to their goods.
Venus rules Taurus, just as she does Libra. Libra, on the other hand, is concerned with Venusian attributes such as poetry, philosophy, and romantic love. Taurus enjoys the finer things in life, such as tangible possessions, luxuries, cuisines, beverages, furniture, exquisite fabrics, and priceless jewels, which would be offered to Venus at an ancient Roman shrine. Taurus is a nester, and he enjoys gathering all of his belongings into one ideally snug area. And this Venusian sign enjoys creating a meal for a loved one, spooning them in bed, or fucking them with savage ferocity. Taurus placements must again be wary of their own immaturity and avarice. Their possessiveness can extend beyond their worldly belongings to their lovers, and although this can be comfortable and consistent, it can also suffocate. Taurus has to build the skill to give things away since they have a scarcity mentality.
Sid Vicious, Cher, Karl Marx, Carmen Electra, Harper Lee, Shirley Temple, and George Clooney are all Taurus suns. They all have a distinctly compassionate beauty that can only be achieved with tenacity and a love for the physical environment.
The earth sign VIRGO is a changeable one. Given their anal-retentive reputation, this may come as a surprise. Other mutable signs are a little more… erratic. Type-A control freaks aren’t common in Gemini, Pisces, or Sagittarius. Virgos, on the other hand, are continually adjusting, always conscious of the balance between their own material wants and those of others, always holding space. This is both what makes them so appealing and what makes them so irritating. Virgos are always keeping score, and everyone else would prefer they kept their ideas to themselves at times.
The Virgo constellation is known as “the Virgin,” with long hair and a wheat sheaf. Let’s not picture this virgin as an adolescent who has a promise ring on her finger. Imagine Diana running through the woods with her bow and arrow, refusing to stop for any man, including a god. Virgo is passionately self-reliant and certain that they can do it all, and do it better, on their own. Of course, this isn’t always the case, but Virgo will adapt until they’ve gotten it just right.
Because Virgo is controlled by Mercury, their stock and trade is in communication and information. Let us recall the archetypes’ Greco-Roman origins: Mercury the deity was the messenger of the gods, the only power capable of traveling everywhere without restraints, with speed and grace, from the peaks of Olympus to the depths of the underworld. Virgo is the physical messenger, rushing from place to place, accumulating, arranging, and disseminating information. Gemini, the other sign controlled by Mercury, is connected with airborne and intangible information like gossip and witty dialogue. Whether you like it or not, they believe information transmission to be their responsibility and task.
Mother Teresa, Ingrid Berman, Caligula, Freddie Mercury, Amy Winehouse, Jesse Owens, and Mary Shelly are all famous Virgo suns. Their fame stems from their messages, which include songs, mottoes, and impacts that benefit others more than they benefit themselves.
A cardinal sign is CAPRICORN, the eldest and wisest of the earth elementals. That means that everything they do, like Libra, Aries, and Cancer, has a sense of immediacy and urgency to it. They’re ambitious, ready to get it done, and they want to get started right away. Another trait that Capricorn has with the other cardinal signs is an apathy toward any elemental energy that isn’t their own as if anything that isn’t earth doesn’t exist. This means that in the Capricorn universe, there is no room for the distractions of airy solipsism, watery sensations, or flaming craziness. There is only this world: only the things we can touch and see, only material and terrestrial achievements, only the things we can do before we die. Capricorn may become chilly, aloof, and out of touch with their own internal landscape as a result of this; they readily compartmentalize those other elements of themselves in order to deal with worldly problems.
Saturn, the planet of order and discipline, and the astrological incarnation of Father Time the most memento-mori planet rules Capricorn. Capricorn is more focused with their own personal abilities: things that they can actually manifest, not simply fantasize, unlike Aquarius, the second Saturn-ruled sign, which prefers to apply Saturnian discipline to the collective, dreaming of better futures. If you don’t do it now, it won’t matter later. Get it done before it’s too late, because there are no guarantees about second chances or new lives. Capricorns can hustle like no other sign in the zodiac, but their objectives and commitment to the grind can cause them to overlook personal milestones and interpersonal bonds, much like an emotionally distant, workaholic father. Saturn’s dominion might be a source of maturity, but it can also be a film that suffocates them in loneliness.
There was a reason why my Aquarian acquaintance was so eager for Capricorn’s genuine, earth-bound energies. Capricorn is resolved to stay focused and present, entirely devoted to being alive, whereas the rest of us might easily get lost in the illusory our fancies, paranoias, and expectations.
Joan of Arc, Greta Thunberg, Martin Luther King, Nicolas Cage, David Bowie, Charo, Betty White, and Marlene Dietrich are all Capricorn suns. They all have an almost superhuman internal drive and attentiveness, and they’re all on a never-ending quest for global impact.
What is the first zodiac sign that is extremely rare?
The 12 zodiac signs each have their own set of personality qualities and are unique in their own way (they each even have a corresponding tarot card and connection to your health). Nothing, however, compares to being the rarest. You might be wondering what the rarest zodiac sign is.
Aquarius is the sign that persons born between January 20 and February 18 belong to. “January and February have the fewest births, making Aquarius the rarest zodiac sign,” says Lisa Stardust, an astrologer in New York City and author of Saturn Return Survival Guide: Navigating This Cosmic Rite of Passage.
What is the age of a Leo?
Leo depicts mature individuals who have shed the masks they wore as children and are no longer masking their true selves. As they exhibit their genuine personalities and force on the world, Leos have a “take me or leave me” attitude. They are brave and expressive, as one might expect from someone in their forties. Certain things simply don’t matter when you’re out of your twenties, and Leo energy perfectly represents this.
One’s ability to respect and express their individual self, as well as their readiness to act on their own terms and in their own way, is fully formed during this period of life and in the personality of a Leo. At this point, there’s no longer any reason to hide or limit yourself, and it’s time to take control of your own life.
What was the name of the second zodiac sign?
Taurus () is the second zodiac sign in the contemporary astrological system. It extends from the 30th to the 60th degree of the zodiac. This sign has a feminine or negative polarity, as well as a fixed modality, quality, or quadruplicity, and belongs to the Earth element or triplicity. Along with Libra, it is a Venus-ruled sign. At exactly 3, the Moon is in its exaltation. In western astrology, the Sun transits this sign from around April 21 to May 20. and in sidereal astrology, from May 15 to June 15.
What is the astrological sign that everyone despises?
Gemini is the most despised zodiac sign. Gemini is an intriguing sign, and because it is symbolized by twins, it combines two extremes, resulting in a tumultuous personality. The truth is that with Gemini folks, you never know what to anticipate.
Which zodiac signs are considered to be elderly souls?
Pisces (February) is a water sign. “They are known as the zodiac’s ‘ancient spirits,’ because they are wise, poetic, and otherworldly.” This gives the impression that this sign was created in another age, with an interesting but slightly out-of-touch point of view.
Is Aquarius the oldest of the zodiac signs?
Aquarius is a Zodiac constellation and one of the oldest known constellations. Ptolemy, a Greek astronomer, first recorded Aquarius in the second century. Its Latin name means “cup carrier” or “water bearer.”
