When was the Joker born?
The Joker, who is Gotham City’s Clown Prince of Crime and is the biggest enemy of Batman, was born on April 25, 1940, and his 80th birthday is being celebrated.
Since his debut appearance in Batman #1, which also introduced readers to Catwoman, Joker has served as a key member of Batman’s rogues gallery. In comic books, movies, cartoons, video games, and other media, Joker has been responsible for some of The Dark Knight’s biggest setbacks. Even yet, it appears that many in the business are happy to celebrate the villain’s 80th birthday nearly a century after the persona first appeared on paper.
What sign would Harley Quinn belong to?
Clare: On a previous episode of Star Signs, we discussed how characters in various iterations and adaptations frequently have varying signs. But some characters always have an astrological true north, and Harley Quinn is one of them. Harley may be described as the quintessential Gemini. Eh? Eh?
Sara: You are paying enough homage to the Gemini Queen since no one loves puns more than a Gemini.
Clare: Sara heard me call the Harley in Birds of Prey “a garbage goblin and I love her.” Although she is intelligent and occasionally utters psychiatric platitudes from her Ph.D. days, her attempts to move on from her breakup and regain control of her impulses lead to self-tattooing, exotic pet ownership, and even more violent behavior. Harley is a Chaos Gemini, who typically moves as quickly as their ruling planet, Mercury. She is therefore moving at twice that rate. Harley spends a significant portion of the movie trying to avoid the consequences of her own poor mistakes (ugh, relatable), and she manages to do so (more or less) by thinking rapidly on her feet. and continuing to make poor choices that work out okay!
Sara: The most Geminian arc imaginable is this one. Purple Rain by Prince is the only other arc that comes close to this degree of pure Gemini energy. Every aspect of Harley Quinn is triumphant Gemini excellence, from the gorgeous costumes to the superb monologuing abilities, and we are forced to be in attendance for it.
Is the Joker a Virgo?
The Sagittarius zodiac sign, along with Aries and Leo, is a member of the Fire element of astrology and is most likely the sign of the Joker. The archer with his bow raised in the sky as the Sagittarius sign symbolizes independence and emancipation. The Joker was extroverted as a Sagittarius.
What age is Jokers?
So, think about this. Phoenix’s character in Joker is around 30 years old. He interacts with a young Bruce Wayne in the movie, who is around nine or ten years old. If Pattinson’s Batman is in his 30s, Phoenix’s Joker in a later film would be in his 50s, which would be closer to the actor’s true age. Is it feasible that one of the numerous swarms of clowns that Arthur Fleck inspired becomes the super villain if, as Phillips claimed, Phoenix’s Joker won’t appear in a future film starring Pattinson? Is Phoenix’s crazy party clown just a metaphor for the Joker that we are familiar with? As Bruce’s parents leave a performance reminiscent of the genuine Batman origin tale, one of the characters in a clown mask, who was inspired by Fleck, kills them. This occurs at the conclusion of Joker.
I’ll admit that even though superhero movies are now Hollywood’s most lucrative genre, I’m one of the few who is becoming sick of them. And I salute Phillips and Phoenix for directing such a daring, mature movie. Having said that, I never expected to beg for another superhero to show up on screen. The movie is ideally poised for a sequel, whether it introduces BatmanPattinson’s or not. We’re also set up for a very compelling and intimate conflict between Batman and Joker, whether it involves Phoenixes or not.
What are we doing here without a companion film? We’re only offering a depressingly chaotic universe that exists side by side with our own, devoid of a protagonist, hope, or substantial message. This is not a character study that can stand on its own, unlike Taxi Driver, to which Joker owes a great deal of his inspiration.
This is a tale from a comic book. This calls for, or at the very least merits, a full emotional and narrative arc. Without a hero, we’re just left helpless and stuck in the Joker’s hellscape. I think we are worth more than that.
What is the real name of Joker?
In Tim Burton’s superhero movie Batman from 1989, Jack Napier, also referred to as the Joker, first appears. The figure, who was mostly performed by Jack Nicholson, was based on the well-known supervillain the Joker. His name is an allusion to the actors Jack Nicholson and Alan Napier as well as the phrase Jackanapes (who portrayed Alfred Pennyworth in the 1960s Batman TV series). This portrayal is noteworthy since it was one of the first to give the character a distinct first and last name and because it is one of the rare times in which his ancestry is revealed. Until Carl Grissom tries to have Napier killed, this version of the Joker is a psychotic mobster who works as Carl Grissom’s right-hand man in Gotham City. It is revealed that The Joker survived the events of Batman in the 20022003 television series Birds of Prey, an alternate continuation of Batman Returns (1992), in which he is portrayed by Roger Stoneburner and voiced by Mark Hamill. The Joker then develops a romantic relationship with his former psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel. After the 20192020 crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths similarly established the latter series to take place on an alternate Earth, retconning the events of Birds of Prey, and incorporating Batman and Batman Returns into the continuity of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) with The Flash (2023); whether Napier is still the Joker in place of the DCEU’s original Joker (portrayed by Jared Leto) is left to be seen.
Since Nicholson’s portrayal of the character in the movie, the name Jack Napier has been used by a number of character adaptations, including Batman: The Animated Series, Batwoman, and the Murphyverse, where he is respectively voiced and acted by Nathan Dashwood and Mark Hamill. The deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne, the parents of Batman’s alter identity Bruce Wayne, in Batman as well as Barbara Gordon’s paralysis and Selina Kyle’s apparent demise in Birds of Prey are also attributable to this portrayal of the character.
