Another viewpoint contends that the rise of scientific rationality, along with the decline of religious dominance, the increased focus on human rights since the 1780s, the exponential growth of technology, and the advent of flight and space exploration, signaled the start of the Age of Aquarius.
The Age of Aquarius, according to a “wave” idea of the shifting Great Ages, would not arrive on a certain day but instead emerge in influence over many years, comparable to how the tide rushes forward incrementally rather than all at once.
