Why is Akito so fixated with Yuki?
Yuki and Akito have a complicated love-hate relationship. Yuki was put at the top of the Zodiac as the Rat of the Zodiac, placing him the closest to “God”; Akito. Akito, on the other hand, assaulted Yuki emotionally, mentally, and psychologically, leaving Yuki badly traumatized. In fact, most of Yuki’s current problems stem from his maltreatment by Akito, including how he shut down totally and lost his desire to live at one point. Akito is a source of fear for Yuki at the moment, and he will freeze and sometimes shiver in her presence. Despite this, Yuki is able to overcome his dread of Akito over time. As a result, Yuki is able to speak with Akito calmly and even tell her that he forgives her for everything she has done because he simply wants to move on with his life, free of the anguish of the past. Even when Akito reacted aggressively, slamming a vase into Yuki’s face and injuring him, his dedication remained, indicating that Akito could no longer dominate Yuki with fear. It’s unclear whether they actually reconciled by the end, but Akito chooses to apologize to all the Zodiacs for what she’s done and gives them the opportunity to live their lives as they wish.
What makes Akito so ruthless?
The god of the zodiac is Akito. As the God, Akito is abusive and brutal to everyone of the Chinese Zodiac for the most of the novel. She is extremely misogynistic and displays little to no trust or respect for other women, and she rarely expresses pity. This can be seen in her interactions with Kana, Tohru, Rin, and her mother, Ren. She appeared to be pretty composed at first in the story, but she is actually quite emotionally unstable. She also struck a bargain with Kyo Sohma, the cat.
They claimed that if Kyo defeated his competitor, Yuki Sohma, the rat, before graduating from high school, he would not be compelled to live in the secluded house like the cats before him. Kyo, on the other hand, would be sent to the secluded house if he was never able to vanquish Yuki. She grew enraged about Tohru Honda till towards the end of the manga as a result of her meddling in the Sohma’s lives. Akito, on the other hand, is highly insecure. Ren’s stinging remarks and treatment of her as a child had a profound effect on her thinking, and it can be observed that Akito is still terrified by her comments as an adult.
Akito has a nasty streak and has physically and mentally scarred many members of the Sohma family, yet she is the undisputed ruler of the Sohma clan, and none of the Zodiac members oppose her. At some time in the Zodiac’s life, Akito desires to compel them to live with her for the rest of their lives in a never-ending “banquet” within the Sohma property. Is there a Zodiac for Akito Sohma?
Akito is possessed by the God Spirit of the Zodiacs, who is the master of the Zodiacs’ souls and controls them. By being God, Akito holds the basic core of the Zodiac curse. As a result, no matter how badly she abuses them, the Zodiacs and the Cat are incapable of betraying or resisting her, and must obey her every word. Their own feelings evaporate and their bodies cringe in subjection in her presence; they have no prospect of escaping since their hearts desire for her. The tie between Akito and the Zodiacs is both a blessing and a burden because of Akito’s profound emotional connection with them, which can transcend spoken words or direct engagement between any of them. Akito’s role as “God” has had an impact on the Zodiacs in the following ways:
- Shigure, Hatori, Ayame, and Kureno all had a dream about Akito when she was initially conceived, and as they awoke crying, they raced to Akito’s mother, Ren, reaching out for her womb, knowing that their God was inside.
- Despite the anguish and pain Akito has caused them, Yuki in particular, Yuki and Hatori are unable to blame her.
- Kyo and Rin, as tough as they are, will be worried about Akito if she becomes serious or angry.
- Akito can feel when a bond is broken and will rush to the Zodiac member who has the broken bond.
Akito is horrified as the curse begins to come apart, and he desperately tries to hold on to the links. Despite this, with Tohru’s support, she is able to go on and resolves to let go of the links and live as herself, rather than God. When the curse breaks for all of the Zodiacs, Akito loses control over them and decides to set them go.
What was Akito’s motivation for sleeping with Kureno?
Shigure and Akito had a tumultuous relationship. When he was around 5 or 6 years old, he had a dream about her conception and fell in love with her before she was even born. With tears streaming down their cheeks, he, Hatori, and Ayame walked to greet her. Although Hatori and Ayame had only brotherly affections for Akito, Shigure’s feelings for him evolved beyond that.
When they were both children, he declared his emotions for her and, according to Akito, was very kind and gentle to her. When Yuki was younger, he recalls seeing Shigure soothing a crying Akito in his arms.
Years later, Akito sleeps with Kureno as a way to keep Kureno close to her through a physical bond, as the zodiac bond is no longer effective. Is no longer there, a jilted Shigure slept with her mother, Ren, as a form of retribution, knowing that it would pain her more than anything else, causing the devastated Akito to evict Shigure from the main house. Shigure departed the main home without resistance and was very enraged by the situation; he later expresses his sorrow at the fact that Akito had chosen Kureno above him in various moments.
Shigure’s feelings for Akito are a mix of intense affection and hatred, unable to let go of his love for her and continuing to strive to save her and have her all to himself by breaking the curse and freeing Akito from the burden of having to be the God, all of his actions geared towards this goal, but treating her coldly, no longer coddling her when she was down and antagonizing her without hesitation whenever she shows anger towards him, to the point where b
This is also done to avoid appearing to be imitating Akira Sohma, since he tells Hatori that he “wishes to become Akito’s father.” This has a double meaning: he does not want to play the role that Akito’s father Akira played in her life, telling her over and over how special she is and how the zodiac lives to love her, ultimately isolating her from the outside world (in the same way the original God from the myth himself lived, willingly isolated from the world with only the zodiac to keep him company).
It was later revealed that his detached attitude stemmed from the emotional pain he felt over their past, to the point where he stated that if he hadn’t remained calm, he would have exploded on Akito, and that he didn’t want to believe she was finally his until he knew it was true, as he didn’t want to go through the same pain he did when Akito slept with Kureno. As he tells Kureno, “Don’t get me wrong: I think it’s great. Akito is one of my favorite characters. I’m in love with her much too much. So much so that I want to lavish her with gifts. So much so that I want to suffocate her.”
Shigure has stated that he doesn’t care how many people have to suffer in order for him to achieve his objectives. Meeting Tohru, like meeting the other zodiacs, has transformed Shigure and has reflected in his views on his relationship with Akito. He begins to realize that, while being a part of the zodiac has never bothered or held him back in the way that other members have, he believes he is the most cursed of all the zodiac animals due to his great obsession for Akito, which has propelled him since day one.
Tohru’s influence has allowed him to begin giving her more tenderness, although staying as aloof and frigid as ever around her: When Akito instantly refuses the blame and rants that as the god of the zodiac, she has the right to do as she pleases, he appears coldly enraged and is about to depart, but when Akito kisses him to stop him from going, he immediately softens and hugs her. Despite the fact that their past has driven a chasm between them, he can’t deny the attraction he feels for her.
When the curse is broken and Shigure receives his desire, he has matured and learnt a great deal from the experience, to the point where he says he would have let Akito go if she didn’t want him. They reconcile (though she does throw a tantrum on him that resembles her old ones), and Akito chooses to fully assume her responsibilities as the head of the Sohma family. Shigure quits his career as a writer to be with her and fight her mother.
It is revealed in Fruits Basket 2 that the two marry and have a son named Shiki Sohma. Shigure is usually in control of the main residence because Akito is occupied elsewhere as the family’s leader.
Because Akito is a man in the 2001 anime, their connection is very different. Shigure, on the other hand, perceives Akito as the family’s deadly leader, but he is not afraid of him. He stands up to Akito twice to protect Tohru, even restraining him once. In the end, he believes that Akito, like the other Sohmas, may have changed for the better, but he agrees with Hatori to wait and see.
Is it true that Shigure slept with Ren?
Ren, Shigure, Hatori, Ayame, and Kureno are all good friends. Shigure once slept with Ren to avoid having to return to Akito and sleep with Kureno. What happens to Kisa Sohma in the end?
Kisa has been great friends with Hiro Sohma since childhood, and the two used to spend a lot of time together playing and hanging out. Hiro eventually fell in love with Kisa and told the leader of the Sohma family, Akito Sohma, about his emotions. In reaction, Akito became upset and assaulted Kisa, leaving her in the hospital for two weeks to recover. Kisa was inconsolably upset, unable to comprehend why Akito had harmed her.
Kisa was teased a lot in middle school because of her golden hair and eyes, which her friends thought were unnatural. Everyone eventually began to ignore Kisa, however they still managed to notice her whenever she said something and would laugh at her for everything she said. Kisa sought to reach out to Hiro at this period, but Hiro began ignoring her, guilt-ridden from his actions and terrified that Akito would assault her again if he spent time with her. Kisa shut her capacity to talk once her class began to ignore her as well. Her words were there, Hatori Sohma remarked, but she mentally turned them off.
Momiji’s curse was broken in a unique way.
He was reared by servants and lives alone within the Sohma family complex. His mother was revolted when she first learnt of the zodiac curse when she first held him, shortly after he was born; she later had Hatori delete her memory that Momiji is her son. Her feelings for him were so abrasive and unpredictable that just seeing him might send her into a frenzy. Finally, she pleaded with Hatori to wipe her memories, saying that her greatest regret in life was “that thing coming out of my body.” Momo, his younger sister, is ignorant that he is her elder brother, despite her fascination in him and her decision to take violin lessons because he plays the violin.
Momiji, despite his background, is perceptive of others and emotionally powerful. His curse is broken before the rest of the zodiac in Chapter 115, and despite Akito’s pleadings and threats, he decides to leave him one day. Despite his curse, Momiji warms up to Tohru instantly, kissing her when they first meet and cuddling her when they are properly introduced. He assists Tohru in her nighttime job as an office cleaner in one of his father’s buildings on occasion, and once filled in for her when she was unwell with a cold. He adores Tohru and will go to any length to defend her, even if it means defying Akito.
Momiji tells Hatsuharu and Rin in the final chapter that he hopes to find a woman as wonderful as Tohru if Kyo does not act on his affections for her.
Is Shigure a decent person?
Villain Types Shigure Sohma is the Fruits Basket series’ anti-villain. In the Japanese dubbed version of the anime from 2019, he is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura.
