The first result I came across was October 17th, which corresponds to the Zodiac sign Libra. It was on the wikia website. Someone has altered wikia’s page to “unknown” now that I’m searching. Sangwoo was born on July 24th, according to another spenish source.

What does Sangwoo’s horoscope say about him?
This site will be dedicated to Oh Sangwoo, the crazy character from Killing Stalking. He is one of the male leads in Killing Stalking, and he was born on January 27th, in his early twenties. Aquarius is his zodiac sign.
Sangwoo squid game belongs to which zodiac sign?
If you’re a Pisces, you could be a little too laid-back for the “Squid Game” contest’s harsh setting. Keeping this in mind, you’ll want to work with a Virgo teammate to find a happy medium (via Brides). They’re the preppy overachievers of the zodiac, according to Cosmopolitan, and despite their calm and collected demeanor, their intellect is a well-oiled engine. To put it another way, a Virgo is just the type of person you’d need to get an advantage in the games. There’s just one minor snag: Cho Sang-woo, a disgraced investment banker, is the only character in “Squid Game” that fulfills this description (Park Hae-soo).
Is Yoonbum Sangwoo’s older brother?
Yoon Bum is portrayed as a scrawny young guy who has been malnourished by his uncle since he was a child, resulting in his body being undeveloped. He has straight short black hair with bangs that part down the middle of his forehead, as well as dark eyes with noticeable bags under them. Bum is little for his age, standing over 160 cm, and has a youthful and boyish visage (having been called “Baby Brother” once and a kid sometimes), easily looking like he just graduated from middle or high school while being in his late twenties and four years older than Sangwoo. Bum’s face is usually filled with a troubled expression and he rarely grins. Yoon Jae, who attended the same elementary and middle school as Bum, claims that Bum’s face hasn’t altered since then and that Bum has always been depressed.
He was frequently spotted wearing a dark green winter coat with a striped shirt underneath before entering Sangwoo’s residence. Bum is often shown in an oversized blouse and a dark skirt with bandages wrapped around his legs, with later additions of them along his collarbone and jawline, after Sangwoo fractures his ankles and traps him in his house.
Aside from that, readers are frequently reminded that his form is incredibly feminine. Even Sangwoo mentions how Bum reminds him of his mother several times during the novel, and Bum’s Uncle mentions how Bum looks like his ex (Bum’s mother) even when Bum was in elementary school. Bum’s hands, according to the girl from Chapter 41, are thin and lovely.
He also has scars on his chin and wrists from self-harming, as well as a scar on his chin from Sangwoo (due to his slicing Bum’s chin open in Chapter 8). Bum is frequently shown with bruises throughout the novel as a result of his uncle’s and Sangwoo’s activities.
Sangwoo’s age is unknown.

Yes, this is the hundredth post about the ages in Killing Stalking, but this time I wanted to include a lot more information, as we now know Sangwoo’s birthday for sure and Bum’s will be revealed later in the novel. Actually, I was inspired by a comment asking what year the KS story takes place in, and in my search for a solution, I discovered the most plausible scenario (in a range of three years at most). Because KS is a Korean fiction written by a Korean woman, and Koreans utilize Chinese Zodiac signs based on the year of birth, I computed the year of birth of Sangwoo and Bum, as well as Sangwoo’s zodiac sign, which isn’t Aquarius. I also wanted to throw in a wild estimate for Bum’s birthday (which could be completely wrong, so take it with a grain of salt).
Before I begin, there are a few things I need to clarify: Koreans calculate ages differently than Westerners; they frequently add a year to the actual age because a baby is considered one year old at birth, and everyone matures on New Year’s Day. For example, a person turning 18 years old (in western age) in March and a person turning the same age in October will both be 19 years old (in korean age) on January 1st. Surprisingly, a newborn born on December 31st is regarded a two-year-old on their second day of life.
There are more complexities, however, because the Lunar year, which begins at the end of January or the first days of February, is very important to the Koreans, and it effects the age calculation, particularly for those born in the beginning months of the year (they are called fast births, and they can generally exert their “age-dominance on the persons born the same year)
By the way, if you’re already perplexed, here’s an easy way to figure out how old a Korean is:
It’s hard to catch up to your Korean age any time soon. You do, however, get one year closer once a year, on your birthday.
However, for the sake of convenience, I’ll compute the dates using western ages and put the korean age in brackets.
Let’s start with the story’s time references provided by Koogi:
1) Bum was four years late to college.
2) During his second semester of university, Bum met Sangwoo.
3) Sangwoo (and Bum) served in the military for two years.
1) In 2011, Sangwoo and Bum were in their first year of university.
2) Sangwoo’s parents were murdered three years before to the current plot, when he was still in high school*.
We can also extract the following time references:
1) The initial chapters of the novel are set in late winter/early spring, based on their clothing (they are still wearing coats and jackets), however chapters 10 -11 are set in summer, or at least near the end of it.
2) For the same reasoning, we can assume that the school festival takes place in late October/early November.
3) Sangwoo indicates in chapter 24 that Christmas is approaching, and because this chapter takes place a few days after Jieun’s murder/burial in the mountains, we can guess it’s November, if not early December.
– School/university classes begin in March and end in February (of the following year); the semester is commonly divided as follows: March-July, as well as late August/early February (with some holidays in between but this is not the point)
Sangwoo could have started university the same year he graduated from high school (2011), making him 18 (19) or 19 at the time (20).
In the first scenario, Sangwoo is 22 years old in 2014, or 23 years old if he was born in 1992.
To be honest, I’m leaning towards 1993, which also happens to be the year Koogi was born:)
Bum is at least four years older than Sangwoo, making him 22 (23) or 23 (24) in 2011, implying that he is 25(26)-26(27) in 2014. Bum is thought to have been born in 1989 or 1988 at the earliest.
We can figure out what Korean Zodiac sign Sangwoo is based on all of this information (we can’t do the same for Bum because we don’t have the exact date; you’ll see why soon). Because it’s getting lengthy, I put it under the cut…
This post would be fantastic if it weren’t for the following:
In the army, I don’t believe Bum ever met him. It’s possible he mistook him for someone else. After all, we see in Chapter 1 that Bum has trouble recalling the soldier, but he remembers Sangwoo in uni vividly.
Sangwoo may have lied to the landlord, but the question of why emerges. He stands to gain nothing. Sangwoo doesn’t strike me as the type to tell lies on the spur of the moment. However, I’m not sure what Officer Park meant when he said, “Did she wait two years for you?”
Thank you, however I’m very sure Sangwoo is a pathological liar (he demonstrated this behavior several times throughout the story), he’s older than 20, and he served in the military, as Koogi herself acknowledged over a year ago. I’m not sure where I got that response, but someone inquired if the man who saved Bum from gang rape was Seungbae, and Koogi affirmed it was Sangwoo.
Furthermore, Sangwoo’s parents were murdered three years before to the start of the novel, making him 20 years old improbable.
True, he had no motive to lie to the landlady, but he probably dislikes the concept of becoming old or, more likely, he didn’t want to provide too much personal information to her.
Wow, those are some incredible calculations; I have no idea what I was doing an hour ago.
What is the surname of Sangwoo?
The protagonist of Killing Stalking is Yoon Bum. Bum was given to his grandmother and uncle after his parents died when he was young, with the latter severely abusing, rapping, and starving him, making Yoon Bum a lifelong abused victim due to being bullied in school, sexually abused and raped in the military, and Oh Sangwoo abusing him in various ways. Bum is a quiet, shy, timid, and sensitive person who suffers from BPD and has social difficulties. Bum feels readily connected to individuals who show him attention because he sees it as a symbol of love, despite his lonely need for it having never received it before. Yoon Bum used to cut his wrists to cope with his uncle’s abuse, loneliness, and the feeling that he wasn’t wanted by anybody.
Oh Sangwoo is the major antagonist and the second main character in Killing Stalking. Behind his public persona, he is a vicious and merciless individual who kidnaps, assaults, tortures, rapes, and murders individuals with no pity or regret for his deeds. He’s a narcissist who looks down on everyone and acts as if he cares about them, only to attack them with genuine hate when he feels like it.
Yang Seungbae is a former detective who has been downgraded to a patrol officer. He appears to dig too much into investigations, according to his boss, and follows his (usually accurate) intuitions even when there is no evidence. He is a dutiful and skeptic who frequently second-guesses others’ judgments. These characteristics prove to be costly, as he loses his job on the investigation team as a result of them.
In the squid game, who is an Aries?
“Leaders of the pack” who “get things rolling” are born under the sign of Aries. That would be useless in most “Squid Game” competitions. In the many “Squid Game” settings, leadership doesn’t often come into play, at least not in a positive way. The players in most competitions are either completely reliant on themselves or opposed against one another. Tug of War is the only exception, which takes place in the second part of Episode 4 (aptly titled “Stick to the Team”) and the first half of Episode 5. (“A Fair World”). Most of the named characters would not have made it to Episode 5 if not for proper leadership.
